Skylars POV
He was standing on the edge of a lake, tossing pebbles across the blue water. He had a muscular physique and stood at 6"4ft tall , he had a jawline that you could dice watermelons on. His mesmerizing blue eyes held no emotion, his dark hair was styled, sexily. His form was tense as he heard me approach through the bushes, as I came to a halt only a few meters away he spun to face me. He took a couple steps closer to me, so close I could feel his breath fanning my face. His hand trailed slowly down my cheek, his eyes drinking my small frame in. "Who are you?" He asked me, his smooth voice sending shivers down my spine. "Skylar." I whispered to him, he closed his eyes at my voice, he smirked. "Skylar." He repeated my name, but the way he said it made me excited and sent pleasurable shivers down my spine. His eyelids opened, but instead of the bright blue that had become way too familiar to me, it was a black. Blacker than black, it was like an abyss. The feeling of the unknown settled over me as he collapsed to the floor, onto his knees where he rested his head on my stomach. "What are you doing to me, dear Skylar?" He murmured. I was unsure how to respond and just looked down to him. Realizing I wasn't going to answer he looked into my eyes. "Get up." He told me, I frowned "Somethings happening to you Skylar! Get up." He demanded. I was confused. What was happening to me?
His face began to come in and out of focus, making me feel disorientated. After a while, he disappeared throwing me into disaster.
"Get up, Sky!" My brother Daniel was shouting. I was confused, it wasn't morning yet, the sky still dark and the stars shining brightly. I looked around and saw my mother, she wasn't dressed in her normal office wear. She was in her battle gear, this immediately threw me into being alert. "Whats happened?" I asked, surprised at how strong my voice had came out, considering I was shaking on the inside already feeling the uneasy atmosphere in the whole household. "Rogues." My brother spat out. I jumped out of bed, ready to defend my pack when my mother fell to the floor, screaming. I was at her side in a matter of seconds. She was thrashing around, crying and screaming. "Mom!?" She stopped. She was panting but the tears continued to run freely down her face. She looked up at me, her eyes glazed over. "Y-your father-r." She sobbed, I looked up at my brother who was now kneeling next to me. "H-he is d-dead." She cried. I felt my body go numb, I realized I had lost the connection with not only my father but other members of the pack. All of a sudden I couldn't breathe, I was gasping for air. A vision was beginning and I didn't want to see what this one was.
It was the living room, it had been trashed. Everything was wrecked and it smelt of blood, almost making me heave. I took a step forward, my feet crunching from standing on the broken glass. As I rounded the shredded couch, I gasped at what I saw and tears burned my eyes. It was my father. He had been ripped to pieces, there was no way I could of even attempted to bring him back to life. I jumped as I heard a bang from the kitchen, I kicked the door open and froze as I saw rogues tearing apart my best friend, Rex. I cried at the loss of my family and friend. I couldn't move an inch as the group of around 7 to 8 rogues turned in my direction, I knew they couldn't see me but the fear was still there. You could tell they were rogues, their eyes were empty and burned red, signs they were no longer humans but savage animals. They looked dirty and their clothes were shredded, their hair and beards long and scraggy looking. They smelt rotten and I felt angry. I felt like slowly torturing them, I could do it but all I wanted to do was return back to mother and my brother. "SKYLAR SNAP OUT OF IT!" I heard my mother shout, but I wasn't the only one. They all did, one of the larger men nodded towards the stairs that led up to my room. They made their way up the stairs...
My breath was slammed back into my lungs, I was lying on the floor, my mom and brother hovering closely. "We need to go." I told them, they both looked puzzled, but something worried me. I could smell silver and it made me choke. For some reason, my senses were heightened more than any other wolfs, and as a female I could shift but no other female could, that's why we were always targeted. It got closer, then I recognized the stench of rogues. "I can sense them dear." My mother told me, while she sniffed the air. She looked at both me and my brother, sadness and pride in the depths of her eyes. "Go. Go now!" She told me, my brother looked at her like she was crazy and I'm sure my expression mirrored his. "You must leave, I will protect you till my last breath. You both have made me so proud and I couldn't of asked for better children. I love you both so much, and if I make it out alive. I will find you." She told us, fresh tears burning in her eyes and my own. "W-why does this s-sound like your saying g-goodbye?" I choked out. She smiled, sadly letting a few tears slide down her cheeks. "I love you both, now go!" She commanded using her Luna voice, forcing us to jump from the window. Daniel told me to jump first and I did as I was told, he looked regretfully back at our mother before jumping down after me. We ran to the pack house, hoping to find someone to help us but before we even got there I could smell the fresh blood. I could also smell the familiar stench of rogues, hot on our tail. I collapsed to the ground as I felt the loss of my mother. I saw my brothers jaw clench, he bent down and carried me bridal style, as we got closer to the woods he broke out into a run.
