Stark Tower: 11:30pm
"Tony this better be important." Steve said obliviously upset that Tony had woken up everyone at this time in the night. "It is I promise." Tony said quickly. "Why did you wake us up Stark?" Natasha said sounding very angry.
"Because we're going on a mission." Tony said as everyone groaned. "Why?" Clint whined. "Because my satellites picked up a signal. And not just any signal but death rates signals. Over 20 murders have been committed and they lead to a path and if I'm not mistaken it's leading to my tower. But the weird part is that he wrote all of our names and all of the murders have been committed by the same man." Tony finished.
"What do you mean all of our names?" Wanda spoke up. "And who is it?" Bucky asked. "A man that goes by Widower or Widow or something like that." Tony said. "Well do you have any photos of him or anything like that?" Clint asked. "No, I've tried everything I couldn't find any thing on him. It's like he's a ghost." Tony sighed. "Well gear up. Based on my calculations each of the murders are a couple hours apart. He should be here in a couple more hours." Tony finished and dismissed the Avengers.
Soon everyone got suited up and ready except Thor and Clint who were eating pancakes. "How can you eat at a time like this?!" Sam exclaimed. "I can anytime of the day under almost any circumstance pal." Clint said as Thor just nodded.
At the lab was Natasha and Bruce. Natasha was trying to reassure Bruce that if he hulked out she would stop him before he hurt any of the team. "I won't let Hulk hurt any of the team." She stated while Bruce still looked hesitant. "I don't know..." Bruce continued. "Bruce you are the best person at keeping control I know. If any one had to lose control I'd bet on Tony." She laughed a little. "Okay but promise." Bruce said looking sincere. "I promise." She stated with a gentle smile.
Bucky and Steve on the other was having a time with their gear. "Steve we have an issue." Bucky said frustrated. "What the matter?" Steve said walking over. "You know the jacket you bought me a couple weeks ago?" Bucky asked nervously. "Yes." Steve said slowing before Bucky opened the door to reveal the sleeve completely off. Steve gasped and looked shocked at Bucky. "I'm sorry, but the material was tight on my arm." Bucky said lifting his metal arm. Steve just stared still in shock. "Steve?" Bucky asked. Steve sighed. "It's fine. I'll buy another one, this time with only one sleeve." Steve said before both soldiers heard the alert. "He's here."
Everyone soon gathered in the common room except for Sam, Clint, and Thor who were outside the building on the roof. Natasha was on the floor above them though. They were all alerted and had no eyes on the villain but remained ready for an attack. "Sam. Do you see anything up there?" Steve asked. "No." Sam answered. Then all they heard was glass breaking and Natasha through the earpiece. "Guys I found him." She said through quick breathes before she cut off her earpiece.
Natasha walked into the hallway carefully while holding her gun. Her finger already on the trigger. She took a couple more steps before hearing. "So this is the great Natalia Romanova." She froze she hadn't heard anyone call her that in years. She turned around to see no one there. She sighed and back around to see a blond male with a gun in his hand. He disarmed her. He shot at her but she dodged but you could tell she was struggling. The male smirked at that.
Once he ran out of bullets Natasha ran up to him and punched him to which he caught and dislocated her wrist. She let out a pained grunt before kneeing him in the stomach. He grimaced and then stepped back. Natasha then shocked his hand that was still holding her dislocated wrist. "Suka!" The male yelled in Russian. He pulled his hand back and kicked her a couple feet away. He pulled out a dagger and threw it at Natasha's face she caught it mid-air and it cut her hands but she didn't catch the one in her side.
He was about to walk over to her and finish her but the Avengers came in the room. As the blonde walked over he saw a blue light in the corner of his eye. He turned around only to see Ironman firing a blue light. He flew a couple feet back before he went to get back up only to be stopped by a arrow that struck below his collar bone. He soon felt sleepy and in less than minutes he was knocked out.
"Nat!" Clit said running over to her. "I'm fine Clint." Natasha said seeing his concern. "Your not fine!" Clint said with panic, he didn't want to lose. "Bruce!" He yelled. "Clint bring her to the medical room." Bruce yelled back.
Once they got her to the medical room. Bruce had bandaged her cuts on her hands and her wound in her side. She was hooked to an IV and would be fine in a couple weeks. The blonde male didn't hit anything so she was going to be okay. Clint and Bruce watched her the entire time. Bruce's eyes were glowing green though since he didn't like the way that blonde had hurt Natasha.
A couple floors below them was a knocked out assassin restrained on a metal chair . Tony and Steve were waiting for the villain to wake up. After a couple hours the assassin woke up but immediately got hit in the stomach. "That was for Nat and my tower's windows." Tony said obliviously angry. "Who do work you work?" Steve asked in deadly tone. He was tired of evil organizations and villains working for them. "Can't say." The assassin said trying to get out of the metal restraints on his ankle and wrists.
After hours of torture they couldn't get the assassin to talk. "Okay I'm going to give you one more chance." Steve said very frustrated. "Who do you work for and why did you try to kill Natasha?" Tony continued equally frustrated. The assassin just laughed and shook his head no. "Steve?" Tony asked. Steve knew what Tony was asking. He was asking if they use Wanda to get in his head or show his memories. Steve nodded to Tony.
