[Zoro x Reader] It's Always Been You

Chapter 3: The Straw Hats give you a Warm Welcome

Still napping next to Luffy, you quickly were awakened by a small rock being thrown at the two of you. You both shot up from your naps and saw a very muscular man with three swords and green hair standing outside of the now open cell.

"Wake up ya idiot. We are all here and waiting for you so we can get back to the ship." the man said.

"Ahhh Zoro! I knew you guys would come. This is (Y/N) by the way, she's a part of the crew now!" Luffy said excitedly.

Zoro then punches Luffy on the top of the head and yells, "HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO TELL YOU? YOU CAN'T JUST INVITE EVERYONE TO BE A PART OF THE CREW DUMBASS."

Hearing this you got sad and knew it was too good to be true. You weren't really a part of the crew. Luffy must've just been getting your hopes up.

"No Zoro! She's strong! She took on an admiral all by herself! The admiral did beat her though and gave her permanent memory loss... but that's besides the point! I already asked her to join and she accepted. No takesy backseys." Luffy said to Zoro sticking his tongue out.

"Whatever. Let's get going before too much chaos erupts." Zoro said, then turned to you "You better be able to keep up cause I'm not carrying you."

"Nice to meet you mosshead" you said ruffling his green hair, "Don't worry about me I'll be fine."

"WHY DID YOU CALL ME MOSSHEAD? THAT DUMB COOK CALLS ME THAT TOO. YOU'RE ALREADY ON MY NERVES GIRL." Zoro screamed in your face, causing your head to pound.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I won't call  you mosshead again if you promise to stop screaming. As you can tell from these bandages on my head, clearly loud noises are going to make it worse. Oh and this girl has a name...it's (Y/N) for your information." You said confidently to Zoro.

"I don't care. Let's go" Zoro said, grabbing your wrist, allowing no more words to escape your mouth.

Zoro led you and Luffy out of the marine base, taking down anyone that go in your way. Outside of the gate more people were there waiting waving at you guys as you fast approached.

"Who's that Zoro? And why are you holding her hand?" a girl with orange hair said with a smirk on her face.

Zoro then blushed quickly letting go of your wrist, which he actually did hold on to the whole way out of the base.

"Our dumb Captain invited another rando to join the crew. No time for introductions though, that can come later. Let's book it to the Sunny and get out of here before anyone of importance notices Luffy broke out." Zoro said as he started running back into the base.

'What the f? Didn't we just come from there?' you thought to yourself.

"ZORO YOU BIG IDIOT YOU'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY AGAIN" the orange haired girl yelled.

"Huh what? Oh oops you're right" Zoro said, changing direction, and taking off once more.

You followed everyone and a huge smile was plastered on your face the entire time. You were so happy that these people who didn't even know you saved your life. Shit you didn't even know yourself, and you don't think you would even have done something risky like that for a stranger. You were truly grateful and indebted to them. You made it back to an impressive ship that seemed to have a lion's head on the front of it.

"Oi! Franky get the ship moving then come down to the main deck. Everyone come meet (Y/N) the newest member of the Straw Hat Crew!" Luffy exclaimed.

Within seconds a bunch of people made their way towards you to introduce themselves, but Zoro had actually walked away and climbed up to the crows nest. The first was the girl with orange hair, and getting a better look you noticed how beautiful she was.

"Hi (Y/N)! I'm Nami, the navigator of this ship. Nice to meet ya!" Nami said.

"Robin, archaeologist and book enthusiast. Lovely to make your acquaintance." said another beautiful, raven haired woman. She stuck her hand out to shake yours.

"Yohohoho! I'm-"

"Ahhhh what the hell is that?" you screamed hiding behind Luffy.

Everyone laughed when the bone man that you had previously interrupted finished his sentence.

"Yohoho... I'm Brook the musician. Don't be scared (Y/N)! I swear I'm not scary under my skin. Yohoho get it? Cause I have no skin? Anyways long story short I ate a devil fruit, died, then came back to life as bones. I'm still me though!" Brook claimed.

"Oh I see. I'm sorry for screaming, you kinda just freaked me out for a second there!" you said with a sigh of relief.

"No problem happens all the time...(Y/N)? Quick question...may I see your panties please?" Brook asked curiously.

Nami then hit him on the top of the head telling him to go to his room. He did as she said. Seems like she knows how to tame everyone-noted.

The rest of the crew introduced themselves to you and they were all so sweet. The cook Sanji might've been a little too sweet though. You then made sure to memorize everyone's names as well. The cute little reindeer doctor told you to find him tomorrow to check on your previous injuries and switch out the bandages.

Everyone made their way to the kitchen to have dinner, and it was freaking delicious. Luffy wasn't wrong, Sanji really did know how to cook amazing food. You also noticed that Zoro was still missing but you shrugged it off getting up from your seat.

"Are you tired (Y/N)?" Robin asked.

"Yeah very. Can you tell me where I'll be sleeping? No need to get up if you just explain how to get there I'll be able to find it on my own!" you said.

"Perfect! Go down to the main deck, and through the doors opposite where we are now. Go through them then the second to last door on the left is the girl's room. You can take the top bunk there it's free, just move my books sitting on it to the desk! Thanks (Y/N), sleep good and welcome to the crew" Robin said sweetly.

You made your way out of the kitchen and everyone said goodnight to you. You followed the directions Robin had just given you. You were now in the hallway, but you forgot if the door Robin said was on the left or right.

'Well' you thought to yourself 'there's a 50/50 chance here. I'll go right first, then if its wrong it has to be the door on the left. Genius!'

You then opened the door to the right and immediately saw a shirtless Zoro. You blushed, but you couldn't take your eyes off of him. You were admiring his body. He was very muscular and toned, had a sexy scar crossing his chest, and a scar past his left eye as well. You finally snapped back to reality as Zoro started saying something.

"What the hell woman? Can't you see I'm changing here? What's your deal, stop staring like a weirdo." Zoro said, sounding less pissed than you thought he'd be.

You turned around and before closing the door you yelled, "AND MY NAME IS (Y/N)! NOT WOMAN, NOT GIRL...IT'S (Y/N) DAMMIT!"

You then quickly shut the door and bolted to the one directly across from it. You were finally in the girls room, and quickly moved Robin's books to the desk, and climbed on the top bunk under the covers.

Your heart was racing with adrenaline and you couldn't get the image of Zoro's body out of your head. It was truly a masterpiece. You thought he was really attractive, but his personality was just ew in your opinion. 

A drowsiness soon came over you and you quickly dosed off to a happy sleep after being saved from execution by the Straw Hats, your new nakama!

A/N: Yay we made it through the "introduction" basically. One or two more chapters until we get to fully focus on what's important...(Y/N) and Zoro-chan!!!! xx anna
