During his first year of University, literature major Takami Keigo's dorm room was next door to Todoroki Touya's. After several months, he had spoken to the guy several times, seen him around the dorm, and heard the music playing from his room sometimes, all of which led him to realize that he'd developed a massive crush on the taller boy. By the end of the year, he had made his flirting quite obvious, and his crush had become the talk of the floor. However, he was almost sure that Touya hated his guts, as that was certainly the only sort of reaction he really ever got.

In their second year, Touya's room had been on the floor above his, so he still saw the other often enough. By then, Keigo had developed a name for himself. He was good-looking, witty, outgoing, and smart. He seemed to be just the right amount of rebellious, partying with the upperclassmen on a regular basis and still passing his classes. If those that knew him didn't admire him, they at least found him amusing. Still, Keigo persisted in his flirting, and still, he was rejected. Eventually, it became a routine and had turned into almost a joke. He was well aware that his advances would get him nowhere, so becoming a source of amusement for his classmates with his pining had become how he coped with the rejection. No one would have ever known how miserable Keigo was.

Now in his junior year and living in an apartment, Keigo hadn't expected to see as much of the other, so after noticing Touya in his history class on the second day of the new term, he couldn't not say hello. He built up his courage and put on a cheeky smile, walking over to him after class. "Hey! Hey, wait up a second!" When Keigo fell in step with Touya, he chuckled lightly, "Fancy seeing you here. How are you? Hey, to celebrate this serendipitous meeting for the new school year, how about you take me on a date after class?" he asked with a chuckle, completely aware of what the response was going to be.

Touya smiled slightly at seeing the other again. He'd kinda missed him over the summer, and was relieved to see him again. He'd started to assume that the suggestions were in jest now, and so he decided to change things up. "Where do you want to go for dinner?"

Keigo barely even registered that the other had answered him with something other than a sarcastic comment or flat-out rejection. He simply chuckled and continued to talk. "Okay, well how-" The realization hit him late, and when it did, he looked up at the other with a small chuckle of disbelief. "Ah... w-what? Very funny..." The blond was uncharacteristically caught off guard, and momentarily flustered. The only explanation he could think of for this was that Touya was messing with him in new ways. He gripped onto the strap of his bag a bit. "While we're joking, how about Paris? That's a romantic place. Let's just hop on a plane," he said, moving his hand upwards in swooping motion before dropping it, just emphasizing his point and his disbelief.

Touya raised an eyebrow. "I was thinking somewhere a little closer. I can't really fly to Paris tonight since I have class tomorrow," he said, smiling slightly as he patted the other's shoulder apologetically. "Tell me after class where you want to go." With a nod, he headed to his seat.

Keigo hadn't realized he'd followed Touya from their class to his next one, and so got a bit confused "Oh... this isn't... I was just walking with you ... But uh.. okay..." he stammered, very unclear on what had just happened. Thankfully, he didn't have a class after the one they shared, so he simply went to a nearby coffee shop, coming back around the time the class should get out. He waited outside the door for Touya, trying to put on his usual smile as he saw him, approaching. "Ok, I know you were probably joking, but you never have done that before... so I thought I would meet you after all. Feel free to call me an idiot and we can move on..." He laughed nervously.

"You're an idiot," Touya smiled as he shouldered his bag a little higher, "but the question remains, where do you want to go for dinner, or am I choosing?"
