Day 4

Keigo woke up later that morning, disoriented for a minute before he sat up and looked around. He smiled as he thought of where he was, and lingered in bed a bit longer before he got up and dressed, going to see if Touya was awake.

Keigo wandered a bit, finding Touya's room. Touya was very much NOT awake, curled up in bed snoring, Smokey was balanced on his bare back, absorbing the heat he gave off. The blanket was pooled around his feet, and he was hugging the second pillow on the bed. He left him be, going downstairs and starting to work on homework for the time being.

Touya got up at a little past noon, threw on a robe but didn't bother tying it shut, and headed downstairs. He was still half asleep and pressed a kiss to the hair of the figure sitting at the table, trailing a hand over his shoulders before heading into the kitchen and pulling down a pan to start on breakfast.

Keigo looked up when he heard footsteps and then froze as he felt the kiss to his head. The hand on his back, too, was gentle and Keigo was completely still for a moment as his eyes widened and his cheeks flushed along with a warm fluttery feeling in his chest. "H-hey... g-good- good morning," he said after clearing his throat. He looked up after Touya and smiled, trying to pretend he wasn't as flustered as he was by what had just happened.

"Morning, Babe. How you want your eggs?" Touya asked, hand covering another yawn as he moved to place some bread in the toaster.

Babe? Keigo thought and his heart pounded a bit "I uh- a-anyway you're having them is fine, thanks. How'd you sleep, and uh, you sure you're not still sleepwalking?" he teased with a shy chuckle.

"Hmmm? Sleepwalking?" The black haired man turned, egg carton in hand, "What are you talking about Ba...Keigo," his sleepily cheerful voice fell flat at the end with realization, "Shit."

Keigo rubbed the back of his neck, chuckling a bit and smiling about it despite his blush. He would joke about it so things wouldn't get awkward, and would ignore how, inside, his heart ached a bit. "Okay, good... it is you. I got scared I'd have to like... check if you got possessed or something? I really didn't feel like a whole damn exorcism right now." He smiled. "You must still be tired, huh?" he said, leaning his head on his hand.

Touya blushed in return, "Sorry, I thought...sorry, Keigo," he murmured, eyes averted. "Yeah, still a little tired, I wouldn't usually wake up until two on the weekend, but I knew I needed to cook for someone," he turned back to the stove. "Over easy?"

"Sure," he replied about the eggs, then chuckled, shaking his head again "It's fine. If you want to go back to bed afterwards, I'm perfectly content just chilling and catching up on work, or just catching the bus back," he said kindly, looking at Touya from where he sat, and, as he'd promised himself, ignoring the small ache in his chest.

Touya blinked slowly, cracking the eggs into the pan, "I can drop you off on my way to work again, or you can come eat again," he said with a shrug, not really thinking as he talked. He pulled out a pair of plates, then went to the fridge, "cheese preference?"

"I mean, I'm not opposed to a meal again, but I'll pay for it this time," Keigo said. "I don't want to trouble you," he added, then hummed., "Maybe a little, thanks," he answered, shifting his homework materials to the side. "Will you work late again or is this shift during the day?"

"I'm dinner again, but it's Sunday, I only work til midnight. And I was asking what kind of cheese you'd like," Touya laughed, becoming more comfortable the more he spoke, pulling out a block of cheddar and a cheese slicer from a drawer, "so I ask again, cheese preference? And if you were troubling me, I'd let you know."

"Oh, I dunno. Cheddar's fine." He chuckled, leaning his head on his hand and watching him again, however he felt himself starting to daydream and quickly pulled away. "Well sure, then. I'll come for another meal." He chuckled, figuring he could always work tomorrow night. Spending time with Touya was more important to him.
