I sit with my back against my locker with my knees pulled up to my chest. I have no muscles. None. Once so ever. Not in my arms, or legs, or chest, or torso. It's almost depressing.

My thoughts go silent as he walks past me not noticing my existence. But he's too busy laughing at his stupid jocks friends and making sure that his little bit... I mean witch is happy. He wraps his arm around her. Last blonde, spray tanned, mini-skirt wearing, brat who's willing to screw anything that has a penis. It's incredible how many guys she's gone through this month and now she's trying to ruin Mark too.

It's so sad how someone as perfect as him could be attracted to girls as evil as Morgan. I mean she made him more popular but she also made his life a living hell as if he wasn't already. Behind the smiles and all the happiness I could see there was something else. Something different. Something beautiful. But soon I get pulled out of my thoughts by the sound of the bell. It was the bell letting all of us go running into the rest of our Friday. I get up and grab my bags then start walking to my car.

Once I'm at my car I'm joined by my three best friends Alyssa, Haley, and Dan. Every Friday we go to the mall and shop for whatever stupid trinkets we can find. We also each get a movie and then go back to one of our houses and watch all of them. Movies and the mall make for a perfect Friday night hangout.

"Hey Joel, so let me ask you were you obsessing earlier in math or were you just dying? Because me and Dan have a bet that either you were obsessing or dying. Because oh my god Mark asked you for a pencil. Why do you like him anyway he's not even cute?" Alyssa calls to me from the other side of my car as I unlock the doors. I have a dark green BMW it's a 2009 model but still a pretty decent car for what I'm paying.

" It was neither obsessing, nor was it dying on the inside. It was a normal reaction and I like him because he's not like the rest of the football guys around here. He doesn't beat up the gay kid or threaten the poor kid that bumps into him that he's going to make his life hell. He's nice to most people even though he doesn't see many people he's nice to them when he does see them." I say back to her as me get into my car. Alyssa's face changes from a slightly hurtful look to a clueless face like she was thinking about what I'd just said. I knew that she wasn't but still.

"Ok so should we go to the mall? I heard that the book store we hang out in is having a sale on all romance book. Oh and so is the movie store. We gotta' get there before it ends." Haley says as I start my car and get on the road to the mall. I love Haley she's so sweet, and so full of life. She's my closest friend even though Dan and Alyssa are great Haley just gets it. She understands not really fitting in. Dan has swim team and Alyssa has cheer, basketball, softball, volleyball, art, and school newspaper. Haley and I have our books and music. Though Haley takes dance classes she still understands that I'm not into sports, or academic teams, or stupid clubs where you just sit there and talk to your friends. I'm into being alone and sitting in the back of the room quietly listening to everyone else talk about their lives. Learning about how all of them work and react to different things. She understands because she's the same.

All of us picked our movies and then decided to go back to my house. We watched Dan's first, then Alyssa's, then mine, and then Haley's. Then everyone but Haley when home and the two of us just sat in my room and talked about stupid crap for hours.

"Oh my gosh no say it again. That was so funny Joel you have to do it again." She says laughing at my impression of Alyssa.

"Ok ready?... Hi my name is Alyssa and I try to make everyone think that I'm a misfit but I'm really just a popular chick. Oh yeah and I'm trying to be better than everyone else. I try to hard..." I say in a high pitched, overly excited, cheerleader voice making Haley laugh harder. She rolls off my bed landing on her knees and throwing her arms in the air yelling TADA! I laugh at her.

"Yes that was perfect!! Sadly she actually acts like that... So have you finished your email for Mark yet?" She asks raising her eyebrows making me giggle softly.

"No I haven't and I don't think that it will ever be ready. I mean it's silly to think that a guy like that would ever go for someone like me." I say looking at the ground trying not to think about him.

"You should just send it. I mean if you really want to find out if he likes you..." She says with a caring look in her eyes.

"Haley your mother is here to pick you up. It was nice to see you again." My mom says coming into my bedroom with a smile plastered on her face.

"Oh thank you Mrs. Samantha I'll be down in just a second. Joel send it. It'll be the best thing you'll ever do." She says pointing at me as she gets up as grabs her movie, she got Burlesque the one with Cher and Christina Aguilera in it. And like that she was gone.

Once I hear her car pull out of the driveway I get up and go to my computer. I open it up and start typing another email to Mark. It probably won't get sent either. Three hours later I finish the email the proclaims my love for him and without thinking I hit SEND!
