Mark's POV:

Once I'd gotten home and opened up my computer to check my emails, I found something odd. It was a name that I didn't recognize. Joel Carter had sent me an email. I decided to open it and it read:

' Dear Mark;
I know that you don't know me and that this could get my butt kicked by you, but I don't care. I just want to stop hiding my feelings for you. I'm in love with you and I have been ever since I first saw you. The first day of sophomore year when I accidentally bumped into you and you didn't threaten to kick my butt. You said that you were sorry and then you helped me pick up my things. You were so sweet and you actually smiled at me. You actually cared or pretended to anyway.

I really hope that you don't beat me up on Monday or you might tell your girlfriend and she'll make my life a living hell. Please don't hate me for telling you how I really feel about you. You're the only guy that I want right now.

Freshman year I never would have wanted to go out with anyone or tell anyone that I'm gay. But now being that it's my senior year and this is my last chance to try to get to know of you could actually like someone like me. I just need to know how you feel for me. Even if we are just friends after this, I have to get to know you.

Sincerely Yours;
Joel Carter'

After reading the email I decided to message him back and tell him that I would absolutely love to go out on a date with him. That was the sweetest email I've ever received. A warm feeling swept over me like a rising tide of the Hawaiian waters.

It was beautiful.
