As Drew and Lyra walked around the ship looking for its restaurant, Lyra kept asking Drew about May whenever they were alone. Constant questions such as "how long have you liked May?" and "what about her makes you like her?" were thrown about. Since Lyra knew Drew liked May, he answered the vast majority of these questions whenever he was sure they were alone. When they finally reached the restaurant they immediately spotted May and Khoury, but May looked upset about something. Lyra grabbed Drew by the arm and yanked him into a corner by the two of them. She told Drew to hush as she listened to the conversation between the two friends.
"May, you look worried about something." Khoury said. "What's the matter? You haven't eaten or talked much since Lyra dragged away Drew." May looked up from her plate as she explained to Khoury her worries. "I'm just worried about Drew," May said quietly. "May, I've told you before that there's absolutely nothing to worry about. Why are you worried anyways?" After a short sigh she responded. "I don't know why I'm worried. I just am. They've been gone for a while now, and I don't know Lyra that well." "I know almost everything about Lyra. Stop worrying and just eat, May." Khoury replied. May being worried about him surprised Drew greatly. 'May always eats, she really is worried.' He thought. Then he whispered to Lyra. "We should go to them now. May's really worried if she's not eating." And that's exactly what they did.
May didn't notice Drew and Lyra right away when they walked up. She was just staring down at her plate, deep in thought. When Drew spoke up, she almost jumped. "May," he said. Startled, she replied. "Drew?!" He smiled. "You were worried about me?" May blushed a little and looked down at her plate once again before Khoury answered his question. "May for some reason couldn't stop worrying. It seems that she really cares about you, Drew." "Khoury!" May banged her arms against the table and shouted in embarrassment. After she saw that this action caught unwanted attention, she sat down. 'Wow.' Lyra thought to herself. 'It looks like May likes Drew the same way he does her.' She grinned at this thought. 'I'm so going to tell him this later.' May had gone back to eating, and Khoury had finished his breakfast a few minutes before. He got up to help Lyra and Drew get something to eat. May's blush had finally faded when the 3 walked away. "That was a little too close for comfort. If another scene like that happens again, then Drew might figure out how I feel towards him." She said in an insanely quiet volume to herself. "He isn't dense."

Everyone had finished eating by 2:00 pm. Lyra had suggested that they visit the room they would share for the next 5 days, and that's where they were now. The room itself was quite large, with 4 beds along 2 of the walls. Each bed had a little dresser with a lamp on top it. The bathroom was on the wall opposite of the door and was a decent size. Right now the 4 were just relaxing, May and Drew and the 2 beds on one side, Lyra and Khoury in the opposite beds. May's bag was also atop the dresser by her bed. "Anyone got any ideas for what to do, other than sit here bored?" Drew spoke up, clearly bored. "Not sure, Lyra? You got anything?" Khoury answered. "Nothing. May?" Lyra replied. May didn't reply. Nobody had noticed, but May had dozed off, and was taking a nap. "Let her sleep Lyra. It's not like she has anything better to do." Drew responded upon realizing this fact. Well, the real reason he told Lyra to let her sleep want just that, but also the thoughts scrolling through his mind upon seeing May asleep. 'She looks cute when she's sleeping,' was the first thought to cross his mind. With a small smile, he spoke up. "Since there's nothing else to really do, I think I might go for a walk around the ship. Y'know, to get to know the area better." After finishing his sentence he got up and walked out the door, but not before glancing at May's watch. '3:00 pm,' he told himself. With his hand on the doorknob, he said aloud. "I'll be back by 5, which is 2 hours from now." And with that he was out the door.

Drew had been walking around the ship's edges for about an hour or so. He was now at the bow (front) of the ship, deep in thought about the events that had happened earlier today, where Lyra had figured out that he had loved May. The light wind was blowing in his face, causing his hair to wave in response. Thoughts kept coming to him about how exactly he was going to tell May the truth. The exact truth he has hidden away with teases since the first rose. He was alone, apparently nobody wanted to walk around a ship at 4:00 pm. Looking out to sea, he quietly talked to himself. "How am I going to tell her? I've got to think of something. Something she'll like, and something that's unique to me. And compared to the time I've loved her to the time I have to tell her, I don't have long." He sighed. He only had the time it takes to travel a region to tell her. He had known her for more than the time it takes to travel 2. 'Should I just strait up tell her? Make my hints more clear? I just don't know...' He had probably hinted this fact towards May many times before. The roses, the teasing, the whole Mirage Island Rescue incident. The thought of that event really brought him back, especially to the waterfall. "Now that I think about it," 'May, in a way, hinted too.' Drew was blacked out for most of that whole waterfall scene, but he knew May had kept his head above the river water. Those Wynaut weren't there when they fell, and he knew they weren't there for a little bit as they were washed down the river. "Is it possible, maybe, just maybe, May likes me back?" 'If that's the case, then maybe this won't be as hard as I think. But what am I being so shy for? I've know May for years. She's my best friend for Arceus's sake.' He had no idea what he was afraid of. "Why am I so afraid of telling the girl I've known for years, the girl I've loved for years, my feelings that I've concealed for years?" He just didn't know why. He also didn't know that someone was behind him, and was scared to death almost when he felt a tap in his shoulder. Breathing heavily, quickly, and his face bright red, he spun around quickly to see none other than- "Khoury??!!" He nearly screamed. He was very shocked to see another person out here. Khoury had a similar face, for he had overheard the last parts of the conversation he had had with himself. "What in the name of Arceus are you doing out here!" Drew demanded. Khoury no longer had the shocked impression on his face, and then answered. "Drew, it's almost 5:10, and I came out to find you! Lyra is back at the room with May, who is surprisingly still asleep." Khoury couldn't control his next question. "What girl are you referring to, Drew?" 'He heard,' Drew thought to himself before replying. His face wasn't as red and he was breathing at a normal rate. "Khoury, who do you think I'm referring to?" He had turned his head away as he said this, for he had started to blush. Khoury remained quiet, most likely in mid-thought. Drew sighed and quietly spoke. "I'm referring to May, Khoury. Just, please, don't tell May. Lyra already knows about my feelings for May. She said that she will hold back the urge to tell May how I feel until we finish traveling Sinnoh." Khoury was speechless for a few moments. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Lyra was right, Drew loved May. After a moment he spoke. "Let's pretend this never happened and get back to the room. It's almost 5:15 right now." With that, the red that once took over Drew's face faded, and they started to walk back to the room. "Yea. Like it never happened." Drew said. Even though it was only 6:00 when they got back, the sun was already upon the horizon line, about to set. When they walked in, the girls were asleep, so Drew and Khoury also decided to call it a night. 'This is where the real struggle to conceal my feelings for May really begins,' Drew thought before he went to sleep. Then he realized what he had just thought. 'No, I'm supposed to tell her, not conceal it. What am I so afraid of?' It took him a while to get to sleep, after all that happened today.
