Excessive Accusations

The Maiden's Voyage, Part 2

Everyone had slept in on the second day the ship sailed. There was really nothing to get up for. It was 11:00 am before anybody, even May, who had dozed off the earliest, got up for the day. Now 12:30, the quad of friends had just finished breakfast and were gazing off into the crystal waters of the ocean blue. The sun was high in the sky, so the rays reflected off the waters, making it even more of a sight to see. "The water's beautiful at this time of day." May had broken the long silence. She was standing with Drew on her right, Lyra to her left and Khoury to that of Lyra. "Yea, it's quite a sight." Drew agreed. Khoury spoke up next. "Hey Drew, you wanna walk around the ship to find something to do? There's gotta be something other than eat, sleep, and gaze out at the ocean." Drew actually wanted to stay there with May, so he refused. "Nah, but you could take Lyra with you." Lyra immediately caught on to what Drew was trying to do, and that was to have some time alone with May. Khoury seemed to realize this as well. "Yea Khoury, I'll come along with you. We can look for something together." Lyra spoke, informing in that she wanted to go with him. "When you 2 find something fun to do, come back and tell us, ok? Me and Drew will be right here." May said before they left. With that Lyra and Khoury took off, leaving May and Drew alone, overlooking the ocean.

"So Lyra, did you know that Drew likes May?" Khoury asked his friend when they were alone. Lyra didn't know that Khoury had figured that out as well. "How did you know that? I mean, I knew it too." "Last night when I went to go get Drew I overheard him talking to himself. He was asking himself why he was afraid to tell the girl he's known and loved for years how he felt." Khoury had answered Lyra's question. Lyra was a little surprised at this. "I also heard him talk about some Mirage Island Rescue Incident." He added. "How about we ask May what that Mirage Island thing was when we get back to them? I want to hear the story." Lyra told Khoury. They didn't realize it but they had already walked around the ship, and had found nothing to do. "Let's go back to the two of them now. We couldn't find a thing." Khoury brought up, and they then went back to the two of them.
When they got back to the 2 of them, May and Drew were both in the same place as promised. Standing where they were before, Lyra decided to ask her question. "So May, what exactly happened to you 2 on Mirage Island?" May turned her head to face Lyra. "How did you know about that?" She asked. Lyra immediately came up with a believable lie to tell her. "Ash and Brock told me about how you were blasted off to Mirage Island and separated from them. I wanted to know what happened to the 2 of you." May turned out to sea, and then replied. "Well, since you asked..." May closed her eyes as she remembered that day. "After me an Drew met up with that Robert guy, we kind of fell off a cliff into a river and off a waterfall. Drew himself was knocked out at the impact, so I desperately tried to keep his head above the water until these Wynaut came in and rescued us a few minutes later. After we got out of the river those Wynaut helped me carry Drew to their nearby cave. A few minutes later he came to-" Drew had interrupted her. "We were relaxing in that cave for a while until Team Rocket showed up again. May was accidentally sucked into that vacuum machine if theirs. I then immediately took off after them with the Wynaut. When I reached May in found her tied to a tree, so I used my Roselia, who is now a Roserade, to break the ropes and free May. Shortly after the others showed up; Max, Robert, Ash, and Brock." May finished up the thought. "That's the whole thing in a nutshell." The 2 turned to their friends, who looked shocked to hear what happened that day. "You fell off a waterfall?!" Lyra asked. "Team Rocket tied you up to a tree?!" Khoury added. "I know it sounds crazy, but it's all true." Drew answered. "Yea, it was a crazy adventure we had that day." May replied. "Crazy's right." Drew said with a flick of his hair. This made the both of them start to laugh. Lyra and Khoury kept quiet for a few minutes before they joined in as well. The laughter stopped a few seconds after it began when May bought a glimpse of her watch, surprised to see that it was already 3. "Wow, time really does fly by when you're having fun." She said aloud to herself. Then Khoury's stomach started to growl, causing the 4 to laugh even more. "Guess it's time for lunch." Lyra said. "More like dinner." Drew added. They then proceeded to get a bite to eat before returning to the room.
They had finished eating at 4:45. Bored once again they lay in their room. "I can't wait to get to Sinnoh. It hasn't been a full 48 hours and we're all bored out of our minds." Lyra broke the silence. "Yea, all there really is to do are talk, eat, sleep, and look out at the ocean." May brought up, causing a moment of laughter. "Hey May, how about we go take a look for ourselves for anything fun to do." Drew spoke up. "I doubt we'll find anything, but ok." She answered. "Be back by 7." Khoury informed the two before they went out the door. When the two were gone, Lyra asked a question to Khoury. "Do you think that Drew will ever confess? Do you think May actually likes him back?" Khoury thought about it for a moment before replying. "I sure hope so Lyra, I sure hope so."

It was 6:30 now. Drew and May have been out here on this ship for over an hour and have found absolutely nothing to do. They were now just staring out to sea like they were doing a few hours before, until May broke the silence. "Do you think we'll ever find anything to do on this ship?" Drew sighed. "I hope so. I don't think I've ever been so bored before." What they ceased to realize was that 3 familiar faces were watching them, and 1 was walking up to them. "I don't think I've ever been this bored either Drew. I feel like I just might die of boredom." Drew laughed and then looked back at the sea, a few moments before the 1 person who walked up to them had interrupted. "Heeeeeyyyyyy!" The voice said. The 2 spun around quickly, May nearly yelped. "Harley?!" They said in unison. Drew then caught sight of the 2 people in the distance behind him. "Solidad and Brianna? What are you 3 doing here?" "Well, I got allllll of those Johto ribbons and decided to come to Sinnoh!" Harley exclaimed. "Same goes with Solidad here, but Brianna said that she just wanted to visit Sinnoh." By now Brianna and Solidad had walked up, with Brianna blushing as she approached Drew. "We were doing the same." May spoke up. Harley looked to his left and saw Drew. "Looks like May and her little boyfriend got together after all, what joy!" May and Drew both started to blush before May corrected him. "I-it's not like that! W-we're just traveling together!" Drew was next to speak up in an attempt to change the subject. "So Solidad, are the 3 of you traveling together now?" "Nah, we just happened to have met up with each other on this ship earlier today. But we had no idea that the 2 of you would be here." Solidad answered. Harley was next to speak. "So, are you 2 lovebirds traveling together?" Drew glanced at Harley while May answered. "Actually we are traveling together. We also met up with 2 other people who are traveling with us as well." "And who are these 2 other people?" Was his comeback question. Just as May was about to answer she heard her and Drew's name being called out by nine other than Lyra and Khoury. "These are those 2 other people, Harley. Their names are Lyra and Khoury." When the 2 reached their friends, Lyra spoke. "May, who are these people?" "This is Harley, Solidad, and Brianna. There also coordinators who are going to Sinnoh, and we've known them for years." May answered. Brianna finally spoke up. "It's an honor to meet friends of Mr. Drew!" Lyra and Khoury looked at each other, confused. "Mr?" They asked in unison. May mouthed the word 'fangirl' in hopes that they would catch on. Then Drew spoke up. "What are you 2 doing out here?" Khoury was the one who answered. "We came to get you, again. It's 7:20." May instantly glanced at her watch, then glanced at the setting sun. It was 3/4 below the horizon. "Wow. That went by surprisingly fast." She said, then turning to Harley, Solidad, and Brianna. "See you tomorrow, I guess?" "Yeah, I guess we will." Solidad answered. May then caught up with Lyra and Khoury, who had started walking back. Drew then followed, but then Harley spoke up. "See you and your little girlfriend tomorrow, Drew!" He called, stopping him in his tracks for a moment. He then continued walking, leaving Harley a little confused. 'He didn't reply?' Harley thought to himself. 'I wonder why...'
