Ambivalent Promises

Chapter 8

Hello guys.....How are you all? I am so sorry for not posting anything in such a long time. I had exams going on and all the submissions and shit so I was not able to think what to write further and how to continue the story.
     I am so sorry for disappearing for so long without any notice. Anyways I am back now and I hope that I will finish this story in my this time. So let's continue with the story for now.

          Jimin have been in the healer's cabin for three days now. His wound is almost healed because of the wolf genes. Now just a scar is left on his abdomen. Jungkook is getting used to Jimin's presence as his father made him deliver lunch and dinner to Jimin daily. 

           In these three days Jungkook got to know so much about the alpha like how his blue eyes turn into crescent moons when he laughed and how he couldn't see when he laughed hard. 

             Jimin was going back to the pack house today as he was almost healed and didn't need to stay in the healer's cabin anymore. Jungkook is helping him go back to the pack house. 

       Meanwhile Jin was cooking in the kitchen. He loved cooking and was always ready to cook something. Today Jimin was coming back to the pack house and he wants him to have something healthy, so he is cooking rice porridge for Jimin and bulgogi for others.

         "Yeobo why are you in the kitchen? Someone else can make the food." Namjoon said as he backhugged jin. Jin leaned back in his embrace. "You know i love cooking so don't even start with this." Jin said with a teasing but soft tone.  Namjoon whined and started kissing Jin's neck. "Whyyy? I want my omega's attention. What's wrong in that?" Jin laughed at namjoon's tone and bared his neck more for better access.

      Who would've thought the scary pack alpha is actually a whiny child behind the doors. "Ok ok now let me do my work Jimin and Jungkook are going to come any moment now" jin said getting out of the big alpha's grasp. Namjoon pouted and hugged him again.

       "Ahem" a voice echoed from behind them and they both got startled. Jin wiggled out of Namjoon's hug and turned around to see Jimin and Jungkook standing there. Jimin with a teasing smirk and Jungkook with a flustered face.
  
    "Jimin, How are you now? I was making lunch for you both. Come have a seat, the food is almost ready." Jin said trying to hide his scarlet red face.

Jimin laughed and went to sit down at the dining table. Jungkook helped him sit and went to help Jin in setting the table. Jungkook was feeling uncomfortable in presence of two alphas and it was clear in his scent. Jungkook was sure that he is getting used to the presence of alphas around him but now he realized that he is comfortable only with Jimin. He can't help but feel anxious in presence of Namjoon.

"Alpha, will you come with me for a minute I want your help with something"  Jin said walking away in the kitchen. Namjoon nodded his head towards Jimin and got up going towards the kitchen. 

"I know Jin why you called me here. I sensed it in his scent." Namjoon said as soon as he reached the kitchen. "Joonie I guess its best if you sit far away from Jungkook and try not to go very close to him. I think it will take time for Jungkook to get used to your presence." Jin said and Namjoon nodded. They both went back to the table and Namjoon sat at the farthest chair from Jungkook.

Jungkook was glad that Namjoon was sitting far from him. Now he felt a bit relaxed. Jin served the food and sat down next to Namjoon. "Hyung why didnt you served bulgogi to me? You know I love it so much. Give me some." Jimin said in a pout. 

"No Jiminie you are not well and its heavy on stomach. I made soup for you eat that." Jin said in a stern voice.  Jimin's pouted more and huffed a "Meanie". Jungkook was watching this interaction with a fluttering heart. He for the first time witnessed a grown alpha behaving like a baby in his whole life. Jungkook was so mesmerized by Jimin's behavior that he didn't realize that everyone was now watching him. The moment he realized his cheeks and ears dusted a crimson shade and he lowered his gaze.

  The lunch went by with them chatting about random things ranging from the recipes of Jin to the tactics used in fights.  Jungkook took Jimin to his room and left the pack house. 

    Jungkook went to the pack house regularly to visit Jimin and keep a track of his health as instructed by the healer. Now Jimin is completely healed and has started his training with Namjoon again. 

    Soon Jimin will take over the Mystic pride and that's why Mr. Park and Mr. Jeon have decided to keep the marriage on this weekend. It was already Tuesday and only 4 days are remaining for their marriage. They both told their sons about it and after some argument they both agreed on it. 

    The next day Jimin and Jungkook were busy in the preparations for the wedding. 

    There is this tradition in Blue Blood pack that the couple getting married should wear the robes made by the Omega itself and the Alpha should hunt for the material from which the wedding robes will be made.

     Today Jimin will go for the hunt and Jungkook will wait for him to get back from the hunt and start making the robes tomorrow. Everyone in the pack were excited for the pack general's son's wedding. The wedding announcement  was done by the luna of the pack(Jin).  

    There were so many people congratulating them but there were people who were jealous that an omega that too a male omega like Jungkook is going to marry the next pack alpha of Mystic Pride. 

    Whole pack was present to see off Jimin as he was going for the hunt. There were people from Mystic Pride too who came to attend this wedding. All the close friends and family of Jimin were there telling encouraging words to him. They all knew the risks of hunting alone but it was the ritual that is necessary to perform. It shows that both the alpha and the omega can provide for each other and its a symbol for unity and bonding between the couple. 

   It was Jungkook's turn to talk to Jimin and encourage him. The elders left them alone for some time to talk. 

   "Alpha, You should take care of yourself and think about your safety first ok? Don't put your life in danger for me. I am not worth your life." Jungkook said and was about to say more when Jimin cut him. " Never say anything about your worth Jungkook. I am marrying you and you will be MY OMEGA in a couple of days so its worth it. Everything is worth it if its for you. Trust me on this. Nothing will happen to me and I'll bring back the best material for our wedding robes ok? "

   Jungkook was about to nod when a slightly high pitch voice got their attention. "Babe" They both saw in the direction of the voice and saw a tall, beautiful and lean omega smiling but there was worry seen on his face. Jungkook then looked at Jimin and he was smiling ear to ear towards the omega. 

   The omega rushed towards Jimin and put their arm in Jimin's arm and make him turn so he is facing them. Jungkook was dumbfounded by the skinship between them.  He was about to say something but the other omega talked again. 

   "Why didn't you tell me you were getting married? And what about the promise you made to me?" The omega pouted. Now Jungkook was confused and couldn't control himself and asked " What promise are you talking about?" 

   "That he will marry me "........
