Ambivalent Promises

Chapter 9

"What promise are you talking about? "

"That he will marry me."

Jungkook walked out from there and went straight to his cabin. He didn't even wait for Jimin's explaination. Jungkook was tearing up and he was not sure why? Why was he hurt hearing that omega say those words? Did Jimin really promised that to the omega? Then why was he here marrying Jungkook? 

Maybe his dad told him to do so and he couldn't say no to his dad. Now that Jungkook know this will he marry Jimin? Jungkook don't know anything. His mind is filled with these thoughts and he can't seem to stop thinking about it. 

**** Meanwhile ****

"What did you do Taehyung? Which promise are you talking about? I made that promise when we were 14 Taehyung and the promise was ' If we don't find someone for ourselves then we will get married' Didn't you knew it was a joke?" Jimin was furious and was shouting at the moment. His scent rotten and was so strong Taehyung was trembling. 

Taehyung lowered his head and mumbled "I was just joking Jimin-ah. I know it was a joke and I also meant it as a joke , I didn't knew he will react like this and I was going to clear it but he didn't wait for me to clear it." Taehyung was in tears now. He didn't knew his joke will turn out hurting someone. Jimin sighed and controlled his anger. "It's ok Taehyung-ah you didn't knew." 

Jimin was not the person who gets mad easily and he didn't like making others uncomfortable and this was his best friend we are talking about. "I'll go and talk to him. Don't worry he will understand." Jimin said as he patted Taehyung's back. Taehyung nodded still not making eye contact with Jimin. 

Jimin was about to go towards Jungkook's  cabin when he was called by his father to go on the hunt. It was time to go to hunt. If he didn't go now he won't be able to come back till the end of the day. He sighed and started his hunt with his mind roaming around a certain omega who is hurt and he can't do anything for now.

Jimin shifted to his wolf form and ran in the forest. He wanted to take down a bear he saw in front of him. He was hiding behind a bush waiting for a perfect timing to attack when he heard some commotion behind him. 

He looked in the direction and there was a stag running in his direction. His eyes went wide and he tried to move away and dodge it but didn't got that much time. He collided with the stag and the antlers went through his body tearing the skin.

Blood gushed out of his body and soaked his fur. He whimpered. The pain was intense. The stag removed its antlers to run. Jimin's body went numb from too much pain and blood loss. He felt darkness overcome him and felt into deep slumber. 

Jungkook gasped and woke up from his sleep. 'It was just a nightmare. Then why am I feeling restless?' Jungkook got up from his bed and went outside. It was almost end of the day and everyone were gathered to see what Jimin will come with. 

They were waiting for him to come back. Jungkook was standing in a corner when Taehyung approached him. He scoffed seeing Taehyung standing in front of him.
