Stolen Dance

"I want you by my side

So that I'll never feel alone again"

-Milky Chance

You see her dancing with him and you smirk secretly to yourself knowingly. This is all a part of your devious (and potentially seriously fucked up) plan to keep up appearances for your judgemental family's sakes.

She was always sensitive to what her mother Bizzy would say if she brought home a woman, and after having met her albeit briefly one time on a visit you have to agree with her on that one. And that's not even getting started on what The Captain might think about her daughter becoming a late-in-life lesbian.

You're pretending yourself as well, so you're not one to talk or to judge her about it.

You're pretending as long as your mother's alive because she'll probably have a conniption about it, and you're not prepared for another lecture about her continual disapproval. Let her live out the rest of her days in peace with your supposed underwhelming 'heterosexual,' appearance, as you're sure that if she found out about your adventures with Addison that she'd babble about it to everyone, and you know that she knows Richard Webber and that she'd definitely tell him about it, and then everyone would definitely find all about you and Addison.

Regardless of what other people think about it, a part of you (and also possibly Addison) keeps up the charade of hiding what you have together simply because you both enjoy it. You get off on the secrecy, and the sneaking around and especially pushing the outer limits of hiding it.

The thrill of nearly almost getting caught together invigorates you; it heats up your blood through your veins, it pulses with passion all on its own. Not that you ever need that with Addison. Simply being around her, sensing her, hearing her voice is enough for you to be turned on by her.

As you feel Finn Dandridge's arms around you, you imagine to yourself that they're Addison's. You picture her slender yet toned arms wrapped around you. Her milky soft skin, is always perfectly moisturized (she loves her fancy skin products), and always perfectly tantalizing.

A whimper escapes you, and you bite your lip in guilt when you see Finn smiling at it. He still thinks it's for him, and bless him, you really ought to buy him dinner just for his troubles after all of this. You really are an immoral person of sorts, but you'd already resigned yourself to that distinction many ages ago.

A flash of red passes in front of you. It's Addison's red, red hair that you see. Your breath catches in your throat, and you almost reach out to touch her. It's hard to stop yourself from doing this, it's taking all of your willpower.

Addison looks absolutely fabulous in that red dress of hers, with her hair up in an elaborate braid, and high heels that accentuate her ass and her curves. Her subtle makeup makes her loo beautiful not because she needs it (she never needs it), but because you know that she genuinely enjoys dressing up and putting it on. It makes her feel young again (not that she needs it, she never needs it), and if that makes her happy, then that makes you happy for her.

Derek Sheperd looks completely ambivalent as he rocks with Addison, going through the motions as you deviously imagine he's been doing so through the entirety of their marriage. For an instant, you have a brief sense of pity for him, but then you get over it as you watch them together, and you develop a sense of jealousy that Derek gets to hold her right now in public and that you don't. You know that it has to be this way, but that doesn't mean that you always have to enjoy it.

It's when Addison makes direct eye contact with you that becomes your utter undoing.

Her pupils are dilated, and her eyes are smoldering for you. Your breath catches again, and you have to stop yourself from gasping aloud as you take in her practically eyefucking you from across the dance floor.
