Selena Gomez Is Working On New Music

Where are all my Selenators at?! Selena Gomez is preparing to release new music. This is not a joke, everyone. SG4 is coming! 

The Only Murders in the Building actress talked about her upcoming musical project during an appearance on Deadline's Crew Call podcast. 

"I just finished Season 4 of my cooking show [Selena + Chef], and I am in LA working on my album now", Selena explained. 

While the singer didn't say much on when fans can expect her new music, she did mention that she might be hitting the road for a tour. "I am open to a tour. 1,000 percent", she said. "But I obviously have obligations and things that I want to do, so, when the time's right. It's not at the top of my priority list".

Selena's obligations include the upcoming season of her hit Hulu series Only Murders in the Building, which will be released on June 28th, and HBO's Selena + Chef. 

Gomez hosted Saturday Night Live on May 14th, where she joked about dating and even did a hilarious impersonation of Miley Cyrus. 

"I just want to put out into the universe that I'm manifesting love", Sel said in her opening monologue. "I'd like to say that I am looking for my soulmate, but I will take anyone at this point".

She also recently gave fans a sneak peek into her beauty routine On TikTok, where she tried a viral lower lash mascara hack.

The news come after Gomez dropped her first Spanish-language project in 2021. Revelación, a seven track EP, paid tribute to the singer's Latina roots. The project was so successful that it earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Pop Album. 

During a chat with Vogue in April 2021, Selena talked about what inspired her to create the Spanish EP. "The project is really a homage to my heritage", she explained. "It's a Sasha Fierce moment, for sure".
