Harry and Zayn watch a good six episodes of the young boy's favorite TV show before Zayn ends up falling asleep cuddled close into Harry's chest. Liam came up at one point to see why the two were being so quiet only to be met by a shushing Harry. The two whisper talked for a good twenty minutes before Liam hears the front door opening, and his two loud sons entering into the living room. With that Liam goes down the stairs to finish dinner while Harry slowly begins to wake up Zayn.

At some point Zayn's shirt had rolled up on his stomach a bit, so Harry gently runs his fingers up and down the boy's flat stomach. Slowly Zayn begins to stir awake, only to turn his head into Harry's stomach while mumbling incoherently.

"S'time to wake up, Zee. Come on, baby, Liam's almost done with dinner," Harry coaxes while pulling the light boy fully onto his lap.

"M'not hungry, Uncle Haz. I just want to sleep," Zayn says, using the nickname he came up with for the curly man when he was little.

"Oh yes you are hungry, Zayn Javaad. I've known you your whole life, and you do this every time you're upset. Sleep will not cure all your problems."

"Yeah but it can help." Harry can't help but roll his eyes at the boy's stubbornness, yet it also reminds him so much of his sister.

"Well looks like you won't be getting to test that theory out until later. Now, up, up, up," Harry says while playfully patting the boy's bum to get him up and moving. Zayn gets up with a small (playful) glare before making his way out of the room and down the stairs to where his two cousins, as well as four of their friends, are present.

"Liam what's for din- oh we have guest! Welcome boys!" Harry says when he enters the kitchen and notices the full house.

"Yeah sorry, Dad. I forgot to tell you I needed to work on a project tonight," Louis says and Niall nods right behind him.

"Yeah same! Well we don't need to start it, but it would just be easier," Niall says and Harry chuckles a bit.

"That's fine. Why don't you boys go wash your hands real quick, so we can all eat a bit then I'll leave you alone to work," Harry says and the four boys nod before running off to the nearest sink. Once the four boys arrive back, Harry hands out a plate to each of them and allows everyone to have casual dining on the couch.

So now Niall and his two friends (Josh and Ashton), Louis and his two friends (Calum and Nick), and Zayn are all situated on the couch eating Shepherd's pie when Louis decides to speak up a bit.

"So Zaynie your birthday is in five days and your dad's home in two. Planning anything for the two of you to do?" Louis asks casually, obviously not knowing about what happened earlier. At the mention of his dad coming home, however, Zayn's brightened mood went straight back down, and now the boy was simply twirling his fork around his plate.

"Uh, he's not coming anymore. And I'll probably just end up staying here this weekend, since Ant and Danny are going out of town and they're taking Shahid with them," Zayn says while poking a rolling pea around the pate.

"What do you mean he's not coming? That's all you've been talking about this whole week!" Louis exclaims, putting his fork down now as well.

"He didn't get signed off, so he can't come. I'll see him in a month or so, it's fine."

"Damn I could never imagine not seeing my dad for a whole month! M'just glad my dad didn't sign up for that career choice," Calum says while leaning back on the couch. And even though Calum didn't mean to make Zayn feel bad, the boy can't help but feel as though the older lad is just trying to brag that he always gets to be with his dad. So Zayn stands up from the sofa and quickly goes to the kitchen where Liam and Harry are talking and eating.
