Over the span of Christmas Holiday, Juniper wrote to her mum. Pandora recieved the letter that same day and a grin spread onto her face. She had been doing another of her experiments on Christmas Eve and lost track of time. Apparently Xenophilius had forgotten his eldest daughter and forgotten the day as well. Juniper was disappointed in him, but thankful her mother had been looking for her. Juniper was unsure what she would do if she had to stay at the Burrow for the rest of Winter. She liked it there, but she knew her family better and preferred the comfort of her mother to Mrs. Weasley. She told the Weasley's goodbye before stepping into their fireplace and disappearing in a cloud of dust before it became lime green flames.
Juniper ran into the welcoming arms of her mother, thrilled to finally be in the comfort of her home. Pandora released, kissing her daughter's head over and over again as if they hadn't seen each other in years.
Luna was confused by all the ruckus and came through an archway a smile bursting onto her face. She ran toward her older sister, tightly wrapping her thin arms around Juniper. Juniper wrapped hers around Luna and the girls embraced for minutes before releasing, almost strangling one another with the tight hug.
"I missed you, Juniper," Luna stated, staring into her older sisters icy blue eyes. "Mum was scared when you didn't come home a few days ago. I was too."
"Well, there's no reason to be scared now, Luna. I'm home right where I belong." Juniper hugged her sister tightly, placing a light kiss on her forehead.
"Promise you won't leave? I don't want you to go away again, Juniper," Luna begged quietly.
"I can't promise that, Luna. I have to go to Hogwarts, and soon enough you will too," she whispered, eyes filling with tears for her sisters sadness.
"That's years from now!" Luna groaned impatiently. She had always been more excited about the thought of magic than Juniper had.
Juniper found peace in the simple muggle things that Pandora brought home from her trips into muggle towns. Little trinkets that were made of cold metal that would forever remain on the small shelf above her bed. Everything worked out in a more simple time. When Juniper didn't go to school and she and Luna spent their days outside picking wild flowers to be placed in a vase when they came inside. It was better when Juniper didn't have to go to school. She wished she could just stay home everyday for eternity and not learn magic and just live how she did for the eleven (almost twelve) years before Hogwarts. Hogwarys was enjoyable, but no where near as enjoyable as spending days in a flower-infested garden with her little sister. She only hoped that one day things would be normal again.
