''Clary..... Clary...... CLARY!!!!'' Jace shouted causing her to wake with a start.

''WHAT!!!'' She shouted back.

''Its 11am you need to go to your mom's house remember'' Jace said in a matter of fact tone that made her want to kick him.

She looked at the alarm clock that told her he unfortunately was telling the truth. Going to her mom's was twice a week was one of the many conditions she had agreed to, to be allowed to stay at the institute with Jace. She moaned and got up to shower to see Jace lay back down on the bed. She glared at him.

''What? I don't need to go'' Jace said smirking.

''No but you can still get your lazy butt out of bed.'' Clary said smiling

''Well no, sorry, hectic day off training with Alec until Magnus puffs glitter out of nowhere and steals him, then lying around listening to the bloodsucker geek out about Star Wrek. Then eating whatever Izzy manages scrape off the pan. By the Angel I've sunk low.'' Jace said mournfuly

''Really, you have a great parabati, who is happy. And don't you dare deny you like Star Wars and Star Trek 'cause you have watched both with Si. Is this because your going to miss me?'' Clary asked turning to get showered.

''Why, what's going on thats so bad for you?'' Jace muttered sarcastically.

Clary spun on her heels and shouted ''I don't know, maybe the fact that only a YEAR AGO I FOUND OUT I WAS A SHADOWHUNTER! AND HAVE A EVIL FARTHER THAT TRIED TO KILL ME! THEN FIND OUT I HAVE A BROTHER WHO I'VE KISSED! TRIED TO TURN ME INTO A HALF DEMON AND KILL THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!''

Suddenly all the frustration, all the pain she had held in over the last twelve months came out in a waterfall.

Jace looked shocked ''Clary I didn't mean....'' but it was too late she ran into the bathroom and locked the door. Blinking away tears she looked at herself in the mirror. Her eyes were glittering with tears

After she showered and got dressed she walked out the institute, after saying bye to Izzy and Si and ignoring Jace, bags in hand.

When she got to Luke's house she told her mom and Luke annoying Jace was.

''He really upset me. It's like last year didn't exist.'' Clary said sighing.

''Thats love Clary, No matter how in love you are the honeymoon period soon goes. I felt the same with Valentine.'' said Jocelyn shivering at the name of her ex-husband.

( OK, I think I made a fault there. Its been ages since I've read TMI. I've just refinished TID. If I'm wrong just comment and it will be fixed.)

''Really? I feel like he's doing it on purpose.'' said Clary exasperated.

''Everyone feels that way Clary.'' said Luke.

Jocelyn looked at him ''Really!'' She commented with her arms crossed.

Luke stammered ''Well not everyone of course!''

Joce looked at Clary and they both started laughing. Luke looked shocked then burst out laughing too!

That night even after her mom's straight talking she still felt annoyed when she had the perfect idea for revenge. She got out her laptop and searched for places to loan ducks.

The next day before going back to the institute she stopped off at the pet store.
