Once every year, the town holds a festival so fun and festive. They do this just so the town could have a little fun celebration they could look forward to aside from the already set holidays like Christmas, Halloween, and many more.
A lot of people wondered if for this year, they would still continue it despite the current situation. All were very worried about it being held and still going, but a majority of them still wanted it to happen. Due to public demand, the mayor had agreed for it to continue. Well, he was already planning for it to happen even if no one was constantly asking them about the event. For the money – of course, he will for sure make it go on.
In a certain blonde woman's home, Watson was glued onto her desk's chair – as always, not wasting anytime on doing her job. She was actually on a day break today because of the festival. All working people are on break for it. Though of course, the Watson is still working her ass off. A lot of papers, books and notebooks were stacked up, filling her desk little by little. Infront of her was her television that was on and currently on the news channel. She stares at the screen, eyelids feeling heavy.
The news is now broadcasting about the festival being held later this noon until night. Watson rubs her eyes as she groans. "How are they so stupid. Going on with the festival even though everyone's lives are in danger. Mayor's got something wrong in the head!" Watson slams her hand onto the table, then afterwards her head lands onto the surface as well.
Watson's little time of agony was interrupted by the sound of her doorbell ringing. She was forced to stand up and tiredly walked on over to the door to welcome the visitor. The tired blonde was greeted with a cheerful silver-haired with blue streaks that is paired with a big smile. "Heya Ame! Let's go to the festival later!" And with that, Watson slams the door closed. "Open the door Ame!! Hey!!" With a sigh, Watson opens it again to let her in. "Are you really thinking of going out, Gura? Are you serious right now?"
"Well, yeah! Didn't we find the culprit already? Just about a week ago?" Gura reasoned out as she lets herself in and plops down the detective's couch.
"I guess you are right...But it is still dangerous." Watson faces Gura with a serious and worried face.
"You're not wrong, there might be others that are with Ms. Nanashi. But hey, we just have to keep our guard up! See! I still have my badge on even on my day off so, that means I still am on patrol. Plus, we had this break for a reason. You look tired as heck. C'mon! Go to the festival with me! It'll be tons of fun like always!"
"With her not around this time? I don't know if I can enjoy it.." Watson slouches down her chair.
"Well I am here as a filler then! I'll try to give you fun just like how she does it!" Saying that outloud makes Gura want to bury her own body alive. It hurted so much. Why must she take this path just for her to be happy? Well that is what she wants. For Ame to be happy...But why did it feel so wrong?
Watson seems a bit convinced. The part where she needed the break. She agrees so much, infact right now all that's in her head is sleep or just do something not related to work. "You know what? Fine. Let's have some fun." Watson had a smile on her face. It seemed tired and happy at the same time. Gura reciprocates the smile and bumps Watson's shoulder with her fist. "Don't overwork yourself too much, Ame. I know she matters but you also matter to me...A-and her of course!" Gura laughs awkwardly.

Over to the Takamori house, all of them were complaining about how the festival is still going on. Calli said the same thing as what Watson said. "Mayor's not thinking straight!" Kiara and Bae all agree in unison. But one of them immediately changes their mind.
