Stars - Megumi Fushiguro

Stars. Thousands of shiny dots, painted on the night sky. Not only do they look beautiful, they also have meaning to them. Specifically, the constellations, whose origins go back to old Greek times. They're supposedly named and formed after the gods' favorite heroes, like Perseus or Hercules.

You always thought Lyra was the best. It represents the first lyre Hermes ever formed. 

The starry night sky and Greek Mythology always fascinated you, maybe that's why you were sitting on the rooftop of your school, dangling your legs in the air, and looking up.There were no clouds, and the noise of Tokyo wasn't as loud as usual that night. It was the perfect night for stargazing, although it was cold. And you didn't bring a jacket. Great. 

You were so caught up in your thoughts, that you didn't notice someone else climbing on the roof as well. They were making their way over to you and sat down next to you. "Hey" you jumped, startled by the new presence next to you. "Megumi, hi" you smiled and breathed a laugh. "How'd you know I would be here?" 

"You weren't in your room, so I just guessed you were stargazing again." You chuckled. "You know me too well.""I guess" he shrugged. After a while he spoke again: "It's pretty cold, so I brought you one of my hoodies..." he held up said hoodie and you took it off his hand, pulling it over your head. 

 "Thanks" you mumbled. "Did you know that Astreaus, the god of stars and dusk, married the goddess of dawn, Eos, and they had like 10 kids that were referred to as the twilight?" You asked, leaning your head in his shoulder, while his arm slid around your waist. 

"Yeah," he chuckled "you've told me before." You looked at him and smiled "Did I? Welp there's a lot of things I tell you. I seem to be forgetting them already.""Seems like it." He said and you laughed. 

"Do you still remember your favorite thing you said to me?""Wait, let me think!" you said, putting your hand on your chin, to make it look like you were in deep thought. "Hmmmm. AH! I remember!""Yeah? What was it?" He asked in amusement. 

"I love you, Megumi" you smiled and kissed him. When you pulled away, he buried his face in your neck, obviously embarrassed."Why do you do this all the time?" he asked, and you laughed. "I don't know, but it's true. I love you" you patted his back and looked back up. "I love you too" he mumbled. 

You sat there in silence, just enjoying the presence of one another, until you spoke up again. "You know, you remind me of the night." "How?", he asked."Well, your quiet, really tired all the time, and you can be super scary sometimes." He huffed, "Gee, thanks" You chuckled "But you're also mysterious. And you're very beautiful... aesthetically speaking. Also you as a person are really nice and- "he cut you off with a kiss. 

"You talk too much but thank you" he gently smiled at you, and it was your turn to blush. "No problem..." 

"You remind me of the sun. You can be super annoying but are always in high spirits and always smiling that contagious smile of yours. You really light up my life. It's cheesy, I know, don't flame me. But... you're just such a great person.Honestly, I don't know how we ended up together. Yuuji would be a better fit for you than me..." 

You looked up at him with a smile. "Maybe, but I like the quiet ones more. And opposites attract! Also,you're smart and can help me with homework." He huffed. "Yeah, I guess I am smarter than you..." 

"Hey! Don't turn this around, so you can bully me!"

"It's late we should probably go back inside now" Megumi said. "What? But it's so nice out here... I'm not even tired yet." He looked at you with an 'are you serious' face "You are." "No, I'm not!" Right after you said that a yawn escaped your mouth. "Point proven" He smiled.

"Alright, I am tired... Can you carry me to my room?" You asked with your best puppy dog eyes. He sighed, but gave in "Alright, come here"

When you reached your room, Megumi immediately put you on your bed and pulled the sheets over your body. "I'll be right back" he said, as he walked out of your door. Not even a minute later he came back with a white t-shirt on. 

He climbed into the bed, laid next to you, and took you in his arms. You instinctively brought your arms around his body and buried your face in his chest. 

"Good night, love you" you mumbled. He kissed your head "I love you too."
