Diana's POV
I press play on the recording, not sure what to expect.
Peter stands still for a moment before sitting in the chair next to my bed. He watches me, not doing or saying anything until he scoots his chair closer to me. "I hope you enjoyed the movie. MJ told me what it was but to not tell you. We know you like the game, so we thought it would be a nice surprise. I kind of wish I went with you, Homecoming was boring." He talks to me like it was any other day. "Liz and I broke up. It just... wasn't working out. And I'm sorry for yelling at you yesterday, that was totally uncool. You were just trying to make sure I was going to be okay... but I'm not." The sudden shift in mood surprises me. He starts to sob, something I've never seen before. It makes him seem vulnerable, but it's sweet. "I'm not okay. I wish I was the one laying in a hospital bed, with you next to me in this chair. I know you're going to be okay, but it's not enough. I need you to be okay now." His words make my heart ache and my cheeks warm, and I just want to reach through the screen and hug him. He looks at both of my hands, and focuses on the one in front of him. He puts his hand on mine, interlacing his fingers with mine. He watches it, and the gesture gives me butterflies. Even if it happened days ago while I was unconscious. Suddenly, the peaceful beeping in the background saying that my heart was beating plays one sound non-stop. I was flatlining. "What? No!" He shouts and starts looking around the room. "Someone help!" Some people come in, Tony one of them. They started messing with the monitor and getting the defibrillator out. Tony tries to lead Peter out of the room, but Peter fights back and doesn't let go of my hand. Tony starts getting upset and forces Peter out of the room with him. The doors close, and I can only see the doctors working. I hear Peter shouting from right outside the door, but I can't make out what he's saying. There is some pounding on the door before complete silence, other than the doctors trying to revive me.

Peter's POV
I open the door to my apartment and head straight to my room, greeting Aunt May who is walking around on the phone with the News playing on the TV. I drop my backpack and take out my homework, setting it up on my desk. Only 5 minutes into working, Aunt May shouts from the living room. "Peter! Come quick! You're friend is on tv!" My group of friends is very small, so I was curious. Did ned finally win that lego lottery like he's always wanted? Did MJ finally witness a crime like she's always wanted?
I sit on the couch and see Diana standing in front of Stark Tower, and Mr.Stark standing in the background watching. A few people gathered in a crowd, but it's not overwhelming. She doesn't look at all like how I last saw her. She actually looks great. She looks refreshed, like she just got the best sleep of her life and look the longest shower. She smiles to the people around her, making me smile. But wait, I thought she was supposed to law low. This doesn't exactly say "I'm just a civilian, nothing to see here." The reporter's voice cuts through my thoughts. "We are here today with a very special guest. Diana Stark, daughter of Tony Stark." What? "Many people are curios about your story. Care to share it with us?"
"It's a very long and confusing story. But the gist of it is that I was lost a long, long time ago. But I was recently reunited with them after quite the journey. It would sound unbelievable, but considering the world we live in today, doesn't sound so crazy."
"You can read her full story on our page or the recent reports of Stark Industries." The reporter says to the camera before she turns her attention back to Diana. "Is there anything you'd like to say to the city you are now a major part of?"
"Yes. I know I haven't been around long, and you have no reason to trust me. But I formed a friendship that helped me have the strength to get here in one piece. Well, sort of." She gestures to her arm. "But I think that the truth is something that needs to be shared, people need to know what happens in the their life and in the world in order for them to enjoy it. And now that this is my world, I'm not going anywhere. I can think about what makes me happy and what needs to be done. So I hope to form a relationship with everyone in New York like the friendship I had. In this crazy world we live in, we have to have each other's backs and support each other." She pauses. "I'll always be there for you."
The last sentence. That's the promise I made her. She was talking about me. "What a lovely girl." Aunt May said. She is a lovely girl. The loveliest. But now I have to figure out how to live the rest of my life around the girl who I was supposed to never see again.
She still looked hopeful. She was talking about me, but she seems happy and wishful. I thought that pushing her away would make her hate me, but she still just wants to have me in her life.
I really hope this is for the best, it's too hard for it to be all of nothing.
