Diana's POV
He takes me to a plane, which looks very much like it was stolen. He holds me by my wrists as we walk in, and he steps into a room that looks like a storage room, but some of the open boxes have weapons and tubes that I wouldn't find in a typical storage room. He and some other guy tie my limbs and sit me on a chair.
He looks through the containers for something. "What do you want from me? Why am I here?"
He doesn't glance up. "As an extra precaution."
"What?"
He looks at me, harshly. "Look princess, I don't expect you to understand, and I don't have to explain myself to you. But to make things simple: I know you're a close friend of Peter, who is Spider-Man. Sorry for the spoiler if you didn't know that. But he's a teenager who would be dumb enough to try to crash this plane. You being here complicates that for him." He finally finds what he's looking for, and since it's a syringe filled with something green, I can't imagine it's good. "Anyway, it's past your bedtime." Lame line, but it doesn't make it any less effective. I feel a bit loopy for a few minutes before passing out.
Peter's POV
I stepped away from Liz and went over to the punch bowl when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I didn't bother looking at it- its rude to talk on the phone when your girlfriend is waiting for you. It stopped after a minute, and I poured the drink into two cups. My phone started buzzing again, and I groaned as I took my phone out to check who it was. It's MJ. Isn't she at the movies? I picked it up, figuring that she must need something if she calls twice in a row.
"Hey MJ." I say, and my voice comes out squeakier than I meant, so I try to subtly cough.
"Peter! Thank god you're okay." Her voice is weak, on the verge of crying.
"What are you talking about? Is something wrong?"
It stays silent, then I hear her sniff, and a sudden uneasy feeling creeps up. "Something is very wrong. Have you heard of the Vulture?"
The guy that steals weapons that also happens to be my date's father? "Yeah, I know him."
"He has Diana."
The uneasy feeling strengthens. "What do mean?"
"I mean, he flew to us when we were leaving the theater, grabbed Diana, and left."
What? How does he even know Diana? Even if they have met, he has no reason to do this. Unless he knows that I'm connected to her. How could I be so stupid? I knew he was going to try something, but I wanted to get past homecoming week before I did anything. I can't believe I let this happen. Stupid, stupid, stupid! You cared about someone, pushed her away, and now she might be gone forever.
"Peter?" MJ says through the phone, and I snap back to reality, but there is still a voice whispering in my head saying she's gone, and there's nothing you can do about it. I wipe away a stray tear that shed.
"Yeah?" My voice was squeaky again.
"What are you going to do about it?" She says in a daring voice, and it's like she know what I was thinking.
"What is there to do about it?" I feel weak just saying it.
"Are you serious? Put on your red tights and go get that girl!" She shouts, and I can only imagine the looks she's getting right now. But she's right. I can't take this lying down. I might be new at this, but I gotta do something.
