Plot Gist: you've been studying for Boards has really stressed you out and you feel like you've gone so long without seeing your girlfriend.

you've spent all your free time studying.

Meredith helped you when she could but she was busy as well, you felt as if you hadn't really spent any time with your girlfriend over the past few months

it was no the day of board and instead of being at the hotel they were taking place in you were frantically searching the hospital for Dr. Grey

"y/n, what the hell are you doing here? you know boards are today" Christina gasped at the sight of you in the hospital today

"yeah I know... where's Mer?" you asked frantically cracking your knuckles

Christina took not of the small anxious mannerism and led you to Meredith who was finishing up her rounds.

"y/n" she gasped her mouth gaping open

she was just as shocked as Christina to see you here

"help Mer.. I'm freaking out" your breath started to become uneven at the sight of your girlfriend

she quickly pulled you into a supply closet to talk you through your panic.

"y/n honey, I promise everything will be fine-"

"boards Meredith. I've got boards today" you interrupted her feeling manic

"I know that. and you're going to do amazing, you're the smartest inturn at the hospital y/n... but you can't pass the test of you never take it" she told you frankly getting some lose strand of hair out of your face before caressing your cheek gently

you looked her in the eyes, she was right, your breathing started to regulate again and you leaned into her

Your action caught her by surprise seeing as you were now wrapping your arms tightly around her nuzzling into her shoulder

you were so forcefully she almost fell backward

"oh y/n" she sighed wrapping her arms around her reciprocating the hug.

"I've got to go" you stated pulling away from her

you sniffed and whipped a few tears from your cheeks

"yeah, you should go" she kissed you once on the cheek then softly on your lips

you forced a small smile at her before heading for the door

"good luck honey, you'll do amazing" she smiled like a proud mom as she waved bye to you.

thankfully you made it in time and though you were nervous you think it went well, you felt a sense of relief and security.

you'd taken the test and you didn't have your results back yet, this feeling is what brought you comfort.

and the fact that when you walked into the lobby of the hotel you not only saw the fellow inturns who tested today as well but Meredith.

"Mer" you smiled widely rushing to hug her

"how'd it go. how do you feel" she asked looking you over as if she was checking for an injury

"fine.. I feel good" you sighed whipping your sweaty palms on your pants

you felt so emotionally drained from being so anxious and worked up over the past month you felt as if you could finally breathe again

"here" she handed you a to go cup of coffee

"you brought me coffee" you cooed your eyes suddenly filling with tears

"oh honey" she cooed at your reaction to the simple gesture

"of course I brought you coffee" she pulled you into her arms again.

she couldn't help but coo at you. you were too adorable.
