Lucy's POV

I woke up with a jolt too hear coughing coming from Natsu's bed. I jumped up off the sofa and walked to Natsu's side, letting the blanket fall of of me as I did.

He seemed so peaceful in his sleep. His face would sometimes scrunch up a little but would then go back to normal a few seconds later. I sighed. If only he knew how I felt about him. Although he probably doesn't feel the same way back.

I walk into the kitchen area and start making breakfast for myself. For me there had always been something between us but it might be just my imagination.

I know that Mira and the rest of the guild want us to get together. It's obvious by the way they act. But if Natsu doesn't feel the same way about me then it would not only be embarrassing but would also ruin our friendship.

I really do love Natsu. I have ever since I first saw him when he was looking for Igneel and we both bumped into the fake Salamander. You could say it was love at first sight.

"Lucy?" Natsu croaked. I walked over too his bed and looked down at him.
He looked pale. It worried me.

"I'm sorry I'm being such a pain, Gajeel says that when Dragon slayers become ill that have it for a while. You can go home if you want. I'm sure I'll be okay"

I laughed "you... okay on your own when your ill. I don't think so. I'll stay if that's okay" he smiled. He looks so cute.

"Okay" I started to walk about but I felt strong arms wrap around my waist and a chin leaning against my shoulder. I gasped and turned around to face Natsu who was now trying to hug me.

"Natsu you have to rest" he nuzzled into my neck. It tickled but I knew I couldn't laugh or he wouldn't get back into bed and get better.

"Natsu" I said again. I looked into his eyes. He removed one of his hands from my waist and cupped my face.

He leaned in closer and our lips met for a split second. The warmth of his lips touching my cold ones and heating them up.

...And then he passed out in my arms from using too much energy.
