*A Few Days Later*
*Phone Rings*
Ivory: *answer the phone* hello?
*On The Phone*
Crystal: *cries* I need you to come get me
Ivory: *keep working* Crystal?
Crystal: Im in the hospital, I'm scared. I don't know where to go. I know you're busy, if I could call anyone else I would.
Ivory: Send me your location *get out of bed* *hang up*
*20 Minutes Later*
Ivory: *walk downstairs*
Jackson: Hey Ivory are we still going to that Lakers game tonight?
Ivory: Of course, my jersey is already on the bed *smile*
Brandon: *laughs* man, I've been wanting some of these *holds up some shoes*
Ivory: *look at Jacob* *look at Brandon* what's going on in here?
Jacob: I just got your brother some new shoes, fresh out he needs some new shit. I'm bout to put him on some real money.
Ivory: Can I talk to you?
Jacob: Yeah
Ivory: In private?
Jacob: *follows me to the living room* what's up?
Ivory: *whisper* what the hell are you thinking?
Jacob: *whispers* what?
Ivory: He's not getting wrapped up in this shit, he just got out.
Jacob: I'll make sure he's straight.
Ivory: No and I mean it, just like you want me to protect your brother, I need you to respect me looking out for mines.
Jacob: You right, I'm sorry. I'm not gonna step on your toes, but I'm here, whatever he needs.
Ivory: Thank you. I gotta go, I'll be back later.
*At The Hospital*
Ivory: What happened?
Crystal: He just got so mad *cries* he tried to kill me Ivory.
Ivory: *frown* I'm sorry
Crystal: I can't go back there, can I please stay with you just a couple days? He won't go to your house as long as Jay is there.
Ivory: I'm gonna help you, okay? *nod*
Crystal: *nods*
I know what y'all are thinking by now my house is a goddamn Holiday Inn, but I have a need to be there for everybody. Don't ask me why because I don't know. I think it's just something God put inside me to do. Not to sound conceited, but it's like I'm one of his angels or something because it seems like I'm always ending up in this exact position.
