The moment I opened my eyes, everything was pitch black. I was walking blind and walking at a slow pace. I didn't know if I was going to bump into anything. The darkness never ended and there was no light at the end. It was like I was trapped in an infinite void. I just kept walking and eventually began picking up the pace. I heard something slither. I wasn't the only one here. I stopped and asked, "Is someone there?" There was a pair of sharp, white, glowing eyes glaring down at me. "Join me," it said. "Together we can rule the five nations and you will be the most powerful creature alive." "I recognize that voice," I said. "You're that snake who was in my dream from before." "You're Draven." The darkness surrounding us slowly began to fade and revealed the spirit of chaos. I looked around and saw that I was in the middle of a wall of scales coiled around me that was slowly closing in. "You have two options Comet," Draven said. "You either join me or die young." "Why would I join you," I said. "You're the spirit of chaos and destruction." "You've been trying to gain power for your own malicious intention by going to war with the five great nations for centuries." The coil closed in and I could hardly move. "Because I know what you desire," he whispered. "You may be an Odder, but you want everyone to respect Odders." "You want to be treated the same just like everyone else rather than being thrown away like an outcast by your own village." "It's okay to be different," Draven mocks. "But your own people say otherwise." He was right. I wanted to be treated like everyone else. I didn't like feeling left out. "I have the Norms and Odders who are part of my army." "We are diverse and accept each other like family." "Your village saying that they accept you, is merely a façade." "You're not wanted," he grinned. "You've heard about the other Odders in the other nations correct?" "The Odders getting abandoned." "The Odders getting ran out of their own nation." "The Odders getting killed by their own people," he emphasized. The cobra slowly loosened his grip and I could finally breathe, but he still had a hold of me. My head dropped and I wanted to cry. He was right. All the Odders are suffering day in and day out. There's no room for even an ounce of breath. We have to constantly watch our backs and hope that those we consider "friends" are not our enemies. It hurts just to even be reminded of what we have to go through. "What do you say Comet?" he grinned. I'm really tempted to say yes and go with him. He promises me peace within a diverse nation. He says that I could actually be free and relieved from all this suffering. I looked up at him and he was just staring me down. "I will not be joining you or your army," I said. He immediately tightened his grip leaving me no room to breathe. "THAT was the wrong answer," he said. I gasped for air and said, "I'm still not joining your army." "If I join, I'm going to be deliberately used for your schemes to take over the five nations." "You will never take over the five nations and you most certainly will not be seeing me on your chessboard assisting you for authority over the five nations." "Then die," Draven said. He tightened his grip far worse than before. I couldn't move anymore. My body was getting squeezed to the point where I couldn't feel an airflow within me. Everything became a blur and I was starting to blackout. The last thing I knew, he said "I'll be seeing you on the battlefield", but it was faded and echoed. I woke up in my bed hyperventilating. I tried to calm down by taking a few deep breaths, but it felt so real I couldn't. "It was only a dream," I said to myself. My right ear twitched and I heard a deep, echoed howl from outside. My head turned with awareness in the direction from where it came. I looked outside my window, but it sounded like it came from the woods. I was probably just hearing things.

I got up from bed and grouped up with my friends outside so we can get ready for school. "Alright just a reminder, tonight is the mandatory trip," the teacher announced. "You don't have to show up but remember the opportunity I take into consideration as to what I said before," she said. A promise of peace within a diverse nation where no one would judge one another because one is different from the other. Everyone is treated like a family. That was only a dream, but would I have really joined him? A nation of true freedom where everyone is accepted...sadly, that is only a fantasy. It's a reality any Odder would wish to come true. "AAARRROOOO!!" My ears perked up and I turned my head to Ethan "Umm...was that you Ethan?" I whispered. "What do you mean?" he asked. "What are the both of you talking about?" Ivy asked. "So the both of you didn't hear someone howling?" I asked. "It was deep and echoed," I described. "If someone was howling, I'm pretty sure everyone would've heard it," Ethan said. "Well, I didn't hear a howl" Ivy said while putting her head down. "I'm just hoping the day goes by faster," she sighed. "I've never been this bored in my life." "Tell me about it," Ethan replied. They were both right about one thing, today was a bore.
