Q1: why the son of hades?
Ok so no one asked this question but I thought I would answer why. No I did not do this because of the hades connection in D3 or any connection tide to hades in D3 I thought of this before D3 came out and I only chose hades because he's my favorite Disney villain.
Q2: Why did I replace Doug's with Haden?
Let me start this off with I like Doug it's just he doesn't do anything in the entire series he just there to support Evie which I know you can make the argument that supposed to be his character but you can still do that have a character grow and be a character and he doesn't do anything in the book or movies the only thing you can say he really did was true loves kiss thing in D3 but that was mainly Evie more then anything else.
Plus and this is might be my own personal biased but I still don't like that in D1 Doug was forgiven off screen for what happened I know one of the thing in that movie was forgiving and moving on but that still didn't sit right with me.
Again I like Doug I just hate he does nothing.
Q3: Why did I replace Jay with Haden in the rivalry with Harry.
The reason I did that was because they Implied the rivalry with Jay and Harry it felt to late into the story to try and imply something like that so with Haden I had more of a chance it imply it earlier that. Also when I think of Haden and Harry I just think that they would be the type of characters who would be rivals to be rivals like as soon as both of them are in a room they try and compete with, mess up, or one up each other that who they are.
Q4: why did I do D2 specifically?
The reason why I did started with D2 beside what I stated in the stories description was because one I like D2 the best in my option and I get like it game me the most free range to do what I wanted with Haden. I wanted Haden to be this character that was somewhat mysterious on the ground were he can be character that seemed to march to the beat of his own drum and his intentions might not seem that obvious. The thing with how I wright is i wright like I'm actually writing the film and that's why I had Haden in "Ways to be Wicked" because it raised more questions then answers out the gate and could get people thinking who is Haden what is he doing there what connection does he have to the Vk's and why is he doing what he's doing. Again some people might not have actually thought have that because very good chances you've seen the movie and know that the dance number was a dream sequence but again thinking like I wrote the actual story and people are reading my version of the story like there watching the movie for the first time that was the mindset I had going into this and to me I think it somewhat landed enough that I somewhat got what I wanted of people asking that question.

Ok so finale thing this is the end of Descendants 2(son of hades) but it isn't the end of Descendant the son of hades series i enjoyed writing it and I do plan on going on with this series and seeing we're it goes I hope you all enjoyed and stick around for the ride the next story that I'm going to do is "Isle of the lost(the son of hades)".
