S01E05: Fruit of the Poisoned Tree

Roslyn's POV

"I was enjoying my sleep you know" I grumble as I head downstairs with Hayley.

"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and you can't miss any meal with a baby" she tells me. "I'm not" she adds.

"Since when did you become an expert?" I ask her.

"I may of read a few books" she admits. As we pass the living room I see a dead girl on the table. I share a look with Hayley. We enter the kitchen and she grabs a tub of ice cream from the freezer.

"Why didn't you say we could have ice-cream?" I ask her with a smile. I grab two spoons.

"Good morning" Elijah says as he enters the kitchen. Hayley says hey as we go to eat the ice-cream. Only for Elijah to take the tub from us and put it back in the freezer.

"I was going to eat that" I say with pout. As Rebekah enters through the back door, dragging a trashcan behind her.

"Listen, I know Rosie and I are the only ones in this house that actually drinks milk. But would it kill any of you to make sure it's on the grocery list?" Hayley asks him. "Then we wouldn't have to resort to junk food" she adds.

"Speaking of, add bleach" Rebekah adds.

"How can you discuss a grocery list, when he took our breakfast?" I ask with a pout. Rebekah stomps through the kitchen and into the living room to clean up the mess the boys left. As Elijah started to search the cupboard.

"You know, I do hope my siblings were hospitable to you in my absence" he says.

"In your absence, as you like to call it. Which is a polite way of saying that Klaus put a dagger in your heart again" I say.

"I've been attacked by French Quarter vampires. Rosie and I had to live in a house with a secret dungeon full of coffins. We were nearly murdered by witches who are convinced my niece is Lucifer" Hayley explains. Elijah smiles sympathetically as he pulls orange juice and milk out of the fridge. Pours Hayley and I a bowl of cereal each, and then fills it with milk. When Hayley realizes that we had milk all along, she looks slightly guilty and embarrassed.

"Oh milk" she says sheepishly. "They've been fine. Your siblings are weirdly protective, I know I have you to thank for that" she states.

"Can't I have ice-cream?" I ask.

"We need to eat healthy, especially you" Hayley tells me and I roll my eyes.

"I'm just happy to see that you both are in one piece" Elijah tells us. "Congrats on your pregnancy Hayley" he adds. As Hayley and I start to at our cereal. "So, back to the murderous witches. I have some concerns" he states.

"I do as well" I tell him.

"They're evil. And, my little sister's life is still magically linked to Sophie Deveraux, which is not comforting" Hayley states.

"Yes, I think it's time we took care of that little problem" he tells us. Rebekah suddenly re-enters the kitchen, dragging the dead girl behind her.

"I am all for it. As soon as they're unlinked, we get to leave this crap town. Who do we have to kill?" she asks Elijah.

"Probably no one" Elijah answers. Hayley and I give him a look of disbelief. Elijah rolls his eyes and sighs. "Alright, potentially everyone" he tells us. Before leaving the room. I go eavesdrop on the originals. "Niklaus, I need you to come with me. I need five minutes alone with Davina. You need to make certain that I am not interrupted" Elijah states. "You stay here and watch Roslyn along with her sister" he adds.
