S01E07: River in Reverse

Roslyn's POV

I finished packing a bag. Someone knocks on my door and I turn to see Klaus. "Must you leave little wolf?" he asks me.

"Yes, I must get back to my sister and see if she's made any progress on finding anything out about our family" I tell him.

"Elijah is probably hallucinating now" he tells me.

"You're the one who bite him" I remind him. "Besides, there'll be two of us and one of him" I state. "So what are you doing today?" I ask him curious.

"Well Cami is coming over to continue writing my memoirs" he states. "Be careful out there" he tells me. I nod my head and left. Passing Cami along the way.

I arrived at the bayou and find Dwayne's old shake. I enter to see Hayley sitting on the bed with Elijah's head in her lap. Who is sweating and writhing restlessly. "Hallucinating?" I ask Hayley. She nods her head. "I brought you some food and a change of clothes" I state.

"Thanks" she says. She goes into a daze and I frown in confusion. Her eyes clear as Elijah groans in pain.

"Hayley, please. This fever. My mind is flooded with these torturous memories. You have to leave" Elijah says weakly.

"What is your deal? You don't like people taking care of you?" she asks him.

"There are consequences for those that care. I will not have you or your baby pay that price" he tells her.

"So, you're having weird, retro sex dreams? Get over it, I'm staying" Hayley tells him.

"We both are" I state.

"Roslyn, you're here" Elijah says weakly.

"Yep and I'm staying until you get better. Then we'll all go home" I tell him. He nods his head weakly before looking up at Hayley.

"What about our visitor? What does she want?" he asks her.

"I'm guessing she's the one that left the mystery Bible on the doorstep last night. Would be nice if she'd stick around long enough to tell me why" Hayley states.

"Bible?" I ask. She nods to the table and I see the bible. I pick it up and start to flip through it. Until I find something that looks like a family tree.

"Hayley, you came here to gather an information about your family, not to play nursemaid to a vampire with a temperature. Please, find her. Learn what you can" Elijah tells Hayley.

"No, I'm staying" she tells him.

"Who's Andrea Labonair?" I ask Hayley.

"I think it's me, her birthday is the same as mine" she states.

"I wonder how the writer knew about me?" I muse as I saw Roslyn Labonair under Andrea Labonair. "How about I search for this visitor while you stay with Elijah?" I suggest.

"Sounds good" she says. I smile and left the shack. I take a deep breath of the bible and smell three scents on it. Hayley, Elijah and one unknown. I start to track the unknown scent.

"Why are you following me?" a blonde haired girl asks me.

"Wondered if you could explain this" I tell her holding up the bible. "I'm Roslyn" I state. "What's your name?" I ask her.

"Eve" she says. Before I can ask her anything, when I hear Hayley in danger.

"Hayley" I say and run to the shack. Eve following me. We arrive to see Elijah choking Hayley. Eve stakes Elijah in the back, incapacitating him. He let go of Hayley.

"Oh, thank you! I thought I was going to die" Hayley says to Eve.

"Hayley, met your visitor Eve" I tell her. I put Elijah on the bed. "Lets take this outside" I tell them and we go outside.

"I'm sure you both got questions" Eve says.

"Only a thousands of them. Like who are you? Why are you following me? Where the hell is everyone? And, if the people in this book really are our family, what happened to them?" Hayley lists off.

"Also it's Roslyn Sommers, not Roslyn Labonair. I never knew my father, so never took his last name" I tell Eve. She nods her head and turns to Hayley.

"I'm Eve. I'm following you because you both brought an Original to Werewolf Country. Which is pretty much the same reason why everybody else skedaddled. If you wanna know what happened to the people in that family tree, I'll sum it up nice and quick: Marcel happened" Eve states.

"What did he do?" we ask her.

"He killed most of them. Later, the descendants of the ones who dodged death, he strong-armed a witch into putting a curse on them" Eve tells us.

"A curse?" I ask surprised.

"What kind of curse?" Hayley asks her.

"Swap nature around, inside out. Made it so their natural state is wolves. They only turn back human on the full moon. We're hunted by the marks we carry. That crescent moon birthmark, that's why I got rid of mine. I didn't wanna get found up" Eve explains showing us her burnt off birthmark.

Suddenly, Elijah appears in front of the shack. Looking a lot better, though still a little pale. "Good evening. Think I might have something which belongs to you" he says. Handing Eve the stake she had used on him.

"Elijah, we've got this. Are you okay?" Hayley asks him.

"The wound is healed, the fever is broken, but for some strange reason I have this sharp and lingering sensation in my back" he states.

"Well, you were staked in the back" I say with a shrug.

"We have to get him home. But we'll be back, okay? We need to know more" Hayley tells Eve.

"Keep those marks covered up" Eve tells us. Before leaving. While we headed back to the shack to get our things. Elijah then drives us back the mansion. I left them to talk and go sit on the steps thinking about what we'd learned today. Soon they get out of the car and Elijah goes inside, no doubt to talk to Klaus. While Hayley joins me on the steps.

"Do you think Marcel killed my parents?" she asks me.

"I don't know, most likely" I say. "But I can tell you one thing, we will help our pack break their curse" I assure her. She smiles leaning her head on my shoulder. Just then Klaus exits the mansion.

"You both are coming with me little wolf" Klaus tells me.

"Why would I go anywhere with you?" Hayley asks him.

"Because, Hayley, that child your sister carries is the only thing on this earth that matters to me. And your her only relative her. Now you can fight me on this, but you will lose" he tells her. He opens two doors of the car and waits for us to get in. "As will anyone else who tries to stop you both getting in this car" he states as his siblings appeared in the door way.

Hayley helps me up and we go to the car. I get in the front passenger seat, while she gets in the back. Klaus shuts the doors and gets into the drivers seat. We leave the mansion behind.
