Pattie's POV

Today, Dhani asked permission to go to school and get their finals results. He also invited Gabe. I didnt really want him to get the results because I didnt want to see him upset but then he asked about it so I had to allow him. It wasnt his fault why he's getting these grades, its ours. George and I havent been such great parents. We're never really there to help him with his school work and he doesnt seem that much interested about the idea of learing something and takin a test about it and then eventually forgetting about the whole crap.

I just wish that his grades are high enough to makw him smile. I really didnt want him to be upset about anything especially not now. I didnt want his surprise vacation to be ruined.

"Bye mom! Gonna meet Gabe." Dhani shouts from the kitchen maybe grabbing a snack or something.

"Take care!!!!"

He then takes off leaving me to myself. Dhani's been acting strange lately, he's kind of jumpy and he thinks all the time. He's always talking but now, he just stays silent as if something is filling his head.

Dhani's POV

I head to Gabe's house to pick her up so we can go to school and get our grades for the finals. I wasnt all excited about the grades, I just really wanted to spend the day with Gabe. Because she's like my best friend.

Knock knock. I knocked on the fornt door of their house. I waoted patiently for someone to answer the door. When I looked down, I saw that the door was open. I pushed it open and went in.

"Uh..... Janice..... Yer door is open...." I shouted but I'm pretty sure nobody heard me.

I walked to the living room and stood their observing the lovely display of pictures. I picked up a picture of dad and Janice holding two weird children.

"Dhani!"

I turned and saw Janice.

"Oh, that was a picture a year after you two were born." She said pointing at the photo I was holding.

"You guys looked like you were datin." I joked with a seriously!!!!! voice.

"Nah, your dad was like my brother and the boyfriend I can never have." She laughed.

"Why not?"

"Well obviously, he's married to your mom."

"If he wasnt, would you have dated him?" I asked.

"Nah....."

"Why not?"

"I dont know.... I'm pretty sure I had a good reason then. But I cant really remember."

"What if I told ye that dad had a crush on ye the whole time." Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped in awe.

"Is that true or your're just messin with me."

"Its true, even me mom knows." I tried to seem as sure as I can.

"Well, thats too bad because I'm marri-"

I cut her sentence....

"I know you have a crush on him too, you know...."

He stopped and looked at me with a weird expression on her face.

"Where did you here that?" She asked.

"I didnt hear it from anyone. I just know. Seeing how dad acts around you and how you act around dad, you guys got somethin goin on there."

"Well, I did have a crush on him but not anymore."

"Why?"

"I met Tom."
