"Hello" you answered very sluggishly. "sorry to bother you y/n but its really important. Did Sophia go home with you last night after the hike?" "Oh it's alright Miss ### and no she didn't I thought she already went back home?"

"No she never came back home and she's not answering her phone." 'I wonder what happened when I passed out. Miss ### is probably really worry about where her daughter is and how. And it must be even worse for her because I don't even know where she is.'

"I passed out after a couple of minutes while we were on our hike from exhaustion and when I woke up she was gone. Have you called her other friends yet?"

"No I haven't I'll go check with them now"

'I feel bad for lying to her but a white lie would never hurt anyone. Plus she wouldn't believe me if I told her the truth about what happened. If anything she would've called cops on me because I'm insane or she thought I murdered her daughter.'

You reached over your bed and grabbed your phone to check the time 8:00pm 'damm I slept all day' you got up and made your way to the kitchen 'might as well make dinner now. or a late dinner.'

*Ding ding*

'Huh I'm not expecting any guests. Maybe miss ### here?' you opened the door expecting to see miss ### only to be met with no one 'huh I could've sworn someone rung the doorbell so someone has to be here.'

You took a few steps further outside only for you to step in something wet and slimy?. 'Eww what on earth is th-' looking down your face paled and you almosted screamed.

The thing you stepped in was blood. That blood now coated your foot.

You stared at the in horror blood only to notice a gift box with a note attached to it on top of the blood. You hesitantly reached for the box. You let curiosity get the best of you by deciding to open the box.

inside the box was Sophia's head. Her eyes were wide open and her mouth was frozen in a scream.

Your hands were shaking so bad that you dropped the box. You quickly snagged the note off the box hoping that it hand answers. And ran inside making sure to lock the door behind you once you got inside.

Your fingers were constantly shaking making it hard for you to read the note but once you did it read "a gift for someone who deserves the best <3" 'what the hell who would do something like this.'
