FIORELLA VASQUEZ NEVER HAD A FAIR LIFE. GROWING UP STRADDLING THE POVERTY LINE. POOR ENOUGH FOR FOOD STAMPS BUT TOO RICH FOR FREE SCHOOL LUNCH. THE MOST LUCK THEY EVER HAD WAS WHEN HER STEPFATHER GOT PROMOTED AT HIS JOB. BUT WHEN HER MOTHER FELL ILL, IT SEEMED AS THOUGH THE VASQUEZ FAMILY'S LUCK HAD WARN OFF.
However, her mother's passing was the first sign of her abilities. In a fit of rage, she accidentally caught her stepfather's coat on fire. Then, incident after incident, it was now clear the Vasquez girl was special. A kind of special that even the great Tony Stark could see. A kind of special that brought her to Germany with her web wielding best friend.
But, now what? She has to go back to school and act as if she and Peter didn't just fight Captain American and Hawkeye! And the cute one with the metal arm. It's like it was back to studying for tests, eating shitty cafeteria meals, and gym class.
She didn't think her sophomore year would contain any more excitement at all. Until Peter comes tumbling into her bedroom one night to tell her of the strange guy with metal wings and a weird gravity gun. And things seem to...tumble out of control from there.
