Y/N POV

It's been a few weeks since Anastasia first woke up. My parents had been fully informed on the situation and have agreed to let Anastasia stay with us once she made a full recovery, which they expected her to make eventually. Anastasia had become a little used to the modern day and would usually ask me questions about things pertaining to the modern world and I answered said questions to the best of my abilities. Before I had gone to the hospital today, I stopped at a flower shop and had bought her some flowers native to Missouri. When I walked up the her room, I knocked on the door.

Anastasia: Come in!

I opened the door and smiled at Anastasia as her eyes immediately fixated on the flowers.

Anastasia: Wow. Those are pretty.

Y/N: I'm glad you like them. They're actually native here to Missouri.

Anastasia: I see. *smiles* I wonder if I'll get to see some outside of here.

I placed the flowers on a table and sat down in the chair next to Anastasia's bed and she smiled at me.

Y/N: So is there anything you'd like to learn about today in particular?

Before Anastasia could speak, my phone got a notification by making the annoying "ping" sound it usually makes whenever I get a text message.

Y/N: Sorry. One moment Anastasia.

I then pulled out my phone and checked the notification and saw that I got a text from my father.

Father: [Hey. I'm guessing you're with Anastasia?]

Y/N: [Yeah. I'm sorry, but I forgot to ask if there was anything you needed me to do before I came here to see here.]

Father: [Nah. Don't sweat it kid. I'll worry about walking the dog today. Have fun.]

Y/N: [Thanks dad. I'll see you later.]

Father: [No problem. See you later.]

I then put my phone down on the table.

Y/N: Sorry about that, Anastasia. My father messaged me, wondering if I was here.

Anastasia: *staring at Y/N's phone with curiosity* It's alright...You got a message that quickly?

Y/N: *smiles* Yeah. *notices her staring at his phone* That's a smartphone. More specifically, it's an IPhone X.

I then grabbed my phone and showed Anastasia the phone will explaining how it worked and some of its features. Anastasia listened to everything I said with interest and she nodded her head occasionally. Once I was done explaining it, she smiled at me.

Anastasia: What a handy tool. I wish we had things like that back in my time.

Y/N: *chuckles* I'm sure everyone back then would too. You can even play games on it.

Anastasia: Really?

Y/N: Yep! Hmm~...do you know how to play chess?

Anastasia: yeah.

Y/N: Alright. One moment.

I then pulled up my chess app and put it on two players before teaching her how to move the pieces on the screen. Anastasia smiled and said she understood and I gave her the first move. After she tapped where she wanted her first pawn piece to go, she handed the phone back to me and I moved my pawn piece. We continued playing our game of chess and it was pretty fun and exciting at how tense the game was as both of us clearly knew what we were doing. Eventually, the game to an end and I lost to Anastasia.
