Y/N POV

It was a pretty cold winter night in Branson, Missouri. I was walking around town in my heavy winter clothes to keep warm. My mother wanted me to get some items from the store that wasn't too far from the house. I didn't want to waste the gas for a relatively short walk, but the cold was most definitely miserable, even in the many layers of warm clothes I was in.

Y/N: *sighs before chuckling to himself* Welcome to Misery. Our weather hates us.

I shook my head with a smile on my face at the thought of my stupid joke. As I was walking through the city, I looked around the barren streets but I then noticed something strange on the ground in an alleyway. Cautious, I slowly made my way to the strange item and I saw that it looked like a blanket but as I got closer, I gasped in horror as I saw a girl with long white hair was laying on the blanket and she was clearly freezing. I quickly ran over to her and saw that she was also gravely injured.

I quickly pulled out my phone and called 911 and they answered immediately

I quickly pulled out my phone and called 911 and they answered immediately.

Operator: 911, what's your emergency?

Y/N: I've found a gravely injured girl laying in the streets of Branson.

Operator: Alright. Where's your location?

I quickly pulled up Google maps and gave the operator the street I was on and that I was near a restaurant.

Operator: What kind of wounds can you see on her body?

Y/N: *runs back over to the girl* She has some g-gunshot wounds and has some cuts and stabs on her body. She looks like she's freezing. Am I okay to cover her up to try and keep her warm?

Operator: Yes. Try to keep her warm. I'm sending an ambulance your way now.

Y/N: Thank you. I'll signal them with my phone light.

Operator: Alright. Please stay where you are. I'll stay on the line with you.

Y/N: I understand. *puts the phone on speaker phone before taking off some of his warm clothes off and covers the girl's body with said clothes*

As I stayed close to the girl and kept a lookout for the ambulance, I prayed that God would save the girl. I quickly then heard the ambulance and I grabbed my phone and turned on its flashlight before waving it furiously towards the ambulance. The ambulance then stopped right next to street and the paramedics quickly jumped out and started doing first aid before putting her on a stretcher and into the ambulance. I quickly asked if I could come along, which they agreed to. As we drove to the ER, I looked at the young girl with worry. Sure, I didn't know her personally, but I felt as though it was my duty to make sure she'd be okay. When we got to the hospital, I was told to wait in the lobby so I did as I was told. I then felt my phone start vibrating so I pulled it out of my pocket and saw that my was calling me. I quickly pressed the answer button and put the phone to my ear.

Y/N: Hi mom.

Mom: Hey, where are you? I'm getting worried...

Y/N: Listen mom...on my way back home, I found a girl was critically injured. I'm currently at the hospital, hoping to get good news from the doctors.

Mom: I-I see... I'll be there as soon as I can. I don't Want you walking home this late at night.

Y/N: Alright. I love you, bye.

Mom: Love you, bye.

I then hung up and took a deep breath before staring at the doors the girl was quickly taken through when we arrived. As time went by, my mother walked into the hospital and sat down with me and waited alongside me since she was unable to convince me to leave until I knew how the girl was doing. Eventually, after hours had passed, a doctor walked out of the door with my coat in his hands. He then handed me the coat back.

Doctor: Kid, that girl owes you her life. We were just barely able to save her from dying. Her condition is relatively stable. You did a good job today.

Y/N: *smiles* thank you, doctor. Would it be okay if I come and visit her?

Doctor: Of course. We don't know who she is though. She has no ID on her. We might have to do a DNA test.

Mom: *hands the doctor her phone number* Please keep us updated doctor.

Doctor: *nods head* I will. Have a good night you two.

Y/N: You as well, doctor. Keep up the good work.

My mother and I then left the hospital and we talked about the whole event and when we got home, we explained the entire situation to my father, who was really proud of my actions. After we all ate dinner, I jumped into the shower and thought about the event.

Y/N: (I hope she'll recover quickly...Her clothes though...they don't look like they're from here nor do they look like modern fashion...)

Once I finished my shower, I dried off and got myself dressed before brushing my teeth and heading to bed.
