Chapter 2: The perfect dates

Emma was filled with all these emotions that she had never had before! She looked in his beautiful eyes and said " wow!" With silence for a few seconds after that. Jake took her by the hands and looked her in the eyes and said " I know this is weird and that I've only known you for 4 hours but..... I feel like I've known you my whole life." Emma's heart began to pound harder like it was going to explode "I feel the same way, and I really like you!"
Jake and Emma spent the rest of the night eating the rest of the food in the picnic basket and than talked for an hour till it was 9:00pm. Jake took Emma by the hand and led her to the carriage "I had an amazing night with you! And I hope we can do this again soon?" Jake said with happiness and not paying attention to anything else but Emma. She kissed him on the cheek and smiled "of course we can!" The night went on and it was time Emma went to bed.
The next morning Emma got up to the sound of a phone ringing. She got out of bed and picked up and said "hello?" The voice through the phone sounded like one of the judges at her audition "hello mrs.Heart sorry for calling you on such late notice, we just wanted to tell you that you got the part!" Emma was full of excitement and thanked the judge for telling her and hung up and got ready for a long day.
Emma's roommate was her best friend named Hannah. Hannah was a 18 year old girl who had dark brown hair that was almost black and she was dark skinned with silver almost blue eyes.
Hannah was up already making breakfast in the kitchen when Emma barged in and yelled " HANNAH! I GOT THE PART!" Hannah jumped " Emma shush your gonna wake up the neighbors, and we don't need another complaint! But I'm really happy for you though!" Emma expected more happiness, and she knew something was wrong with Hannah and walked up to her and she could see dried tears down her eyes like she was crying not to much before.
Emma walked over to her "Hannah, what's wrong?" Hannah then started to ball her eyes out " I I, j-just g-got a c-call from m-my m-mom and she s-said that my d-dog got h-hit by a c-car and s-she d-died 3 h-hours ago!" Hannah ran up to Emma and rapped her arms around Emma and squeezed her tightly. Emma felt terrible and hugged her "oh no! I'm so sorry Hannah I didn't know! I feel terrible come on let's sit down and I'll make us some coffee!"
They spent an hour talking till Emma finally cheered her up. "Hey I have an idea that will get your mind off this terrible incident! how about we go shopping?" Hannah smiled, still having a few tears falling down her cheeks "you know what? Shopping does sound like a good idea to me right now!" Emma had another idea " So Hannah. You know how I told you that I'm dating Jake? Well I can call him and see if he wants to come with us!" Hannah looked upset, "and why exactly would you want him to come?"
"Well let's see, he's a hot famous person, and he picked me up in a horse drawn carriage for our date last night?" Hannah laughed "ooooohhhh ok NOW I get it! Sure if he wants to come that's fine with me!" Emma pulled out her phone and went on her messages.
EMMA: Hey Jake, do you want to come shopping with me and my roommate?
JAKE: Sure! Horse drawn Carriage again?😂
EMMA: sure, my roommate might expect that from you! Lol
JAKE: lol ok, I'll pick you two up in 20 minutes?
EMMA: sounds good, I'll see you then! Bye
JAKE: ok see you then! Bye
Emma looked at Hannah and laughed " he said he'll pick us up in 20 minutes AND he'll see if he can get another horse drawn carriage! They sat there and laughed till it was finally time to go. They walked down to the main office and walked outside of their apartment building. When in a off distance Emma saw another horse drawn carriage pull up. Jake got out of it and kissed Emma on the cheek "see I told you I would get another one!" Emma laughed and smiled "Jake this is my roommate and best friend, Hannah."
Jake turned his head and looked at Hannah "hi I'm Jake!" Hannah scanned him and then looked at his face "hi I'm Hannah!"
Emma looked at Jake then at Hannah when all of the sudden, Emma heard a buzz come from Hannah's phone. Hannah reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. She looked at Emma then at Jake "guys I'm really sorry, but I just got a text from my boss and I have to leave I'm so sorry!" And with that Hannah left. Did Hannah really have an emergency?
