"What?..what's going on?...can anyone hear me?..why is this happening?!"
It was dark. Dark as midnight.
Blossom stirred and woke up into an empty, black void.
All that could be heard was the sound of her footsteps, and her confused shuffling.
She held out an outstretched palm and willed it to light, but not even a spark came out. Her magic never worked in her dreams before.
Judging by her body temperature, she was back in her Rose form, which was odd considering it was still midnight.
Without a light source, she walked, blindly, further into the shadows..
Until a cyan colored flash slit the darkness and shook her vision. She stumbled to the ground in shock as the light started to fade.
There was a pounding in her head as she closed her eyes, clutching her head with her hands as her knees moved under her chest.
Blossom was afraid, confused and scared. She didn't know why this was happening or what was going on. She could hear the screams of distant Etherians even though she was alone, or at least, she assumed she was.
Then her empty vision was broken by the same cyan flash. This time, she could see...It was inside the World Tree. It was a beautiful night, the moon and stars twinkled in the jet black sky. The moon was reflected inside the clear, enchanted waters that the World Tree possessed. Then, a column of cyan erupted from the moon, almost looking like the moon just split in half. A bright, cyan light filled Blossom's vision before switching to another scene.
The light faded, and this time it was in the forest, not too far from the world tree. A few Mabiki, Huskot and their mutated forms were calmly sleeping. Even Phytotitan was watching over them. Then, the same cyan flash lit the night sky, awakening the sleeping Etherians. A neon pillar of cyan came crashing down on the group of Mabiki, making their eyes fill with cyan light. Then another pillar came crashing down on the Huskot, making their eyes fill with cyan the same way. Phytotitan blocked a beam using Protect, but due to its slow speed, wasn't able to dodge the 2nd beam that came crashing down on it. One of the mutated Huskot, a Cocolossus roared, revealing that the inside of their mouth had also turned a neon cyan. The other Huskot began to roar, raising their heads to the sky as the Mabiki raised their weapons to the stars. Phytotitan joined in just as another cyan flash changed the scene.
This time, it flashed rapidly. Etherians in all sorts of places were being corrupted by this mysterious, malevolent cyan light. The volcano, the desert, the beach, the tundra, the village. Then her vision switched to inside a cave, where terrified Eidlon and Irasper along with their mutated forms were watching the outside world, horrified. A beam of cyan light came crashing onto the roof of the cave making it shake, but it was deflected and rained onto the ground below, making the cave-dwelling Etherians jump and back even further away from the mouth of the cave. Then it switched to the volcano again, this time on the inside. An Ignititan and some volcano-dwelling Etherians were grouped together under the roof of the volcano. Then it switched to the middle of the tundra, closing in on an icy temple where Etherians were squeezed together under the slim roof of the ice temple. Watchbots and all sorts of robots were minding their own business and chatting with each other, oblivious to the disaster raining down from above. Then..it switched to a sight that Blossom had never seen before..
The sky was a shade of yellow. Darkish-brownish yellow pieces of some foreign material were scattered all around this mysterious land, somehow floating there, like an air current was pushing them up. Many buildings made of this same material were floating all around the place, which looked to be the remnants of an ancient civilization of sorts. In the middle was a humongous structure with pillars all around, and stairs leading to a bright, golden orb that shined like the sun, which Blossom missed so much. She could see black holes and big, mysterious portals that were black in the middle with magenta-purple lining. She could see a collection of Etherians she'd never seen before. Blossom could see two jet-black sharks with a bigger form that must've been their mutation, hanging around black holes and surprisingly not getting sucked in. Then, she could see a trio of weird-looking Etherians. The first one, who was presumably the un-mutated form was short, with a purple hat that almost covered its pitch black body with white eyes. The second Etherian was like the first one, except taller, and with a prominent magenta body, almost the same color as the lining of the portals. The last form, which must've been the fully mutated form was..just un-explainable. It was like the second Etherian except it had wings, and was much bigger. Blossom couldn't process this big, glowing entity and decided to stop investigating it as her head started to ache. She looked away from the entity just as the portals snapped and imploded, closing, leaving no way to exit this torn world. The Etherians, at least she thought they were Etherians looked at the portals close blankly, as if this was a regular occurrence. Her head was pounding the more she looked at this view, but it seems like the cyan beams of doom didn't follow the creatures here. Then, it started to become darker and darker, almost as if she was looking at the night sky. Tiny stars started to twinkle, revealing themselves as if they were being drawn onto the void. Then, the moon was lit up with a flash as mysterious clouds formed around it that gave her a bad feeling. It was beautiful, yet eerie. And just as abruptly as the cyan flash that tore the darkness earlier, the moon shattered with a loud 'CRACK!'
And after all she'd seen, terrifying, and without explanation..
Blossom awoke.
