(Writer's Announcement: Hey everyone! After this chapter the series will be on hiatus. I have plans for a fanfic I actually have a story for, and I started this one without a story of set events. Generally, I think this fanfic is really messy, and I wanted to do things like a POV change to Blossom, but that would be confusing, especially in the middle of the story..I also just don't know how to write it anymore, even just completing this chapter was hard to do, maybe because I either hated my writing or because I was just tired of the series as a whole. I have plans to eventually make it better, or maybe even just release an entirely new version of this fanfic, but that's for future Jayden/Emmy to decide. I hope everyone understands. Now for Chapter 9!)

"Eerie should be here somewhere.."

The 7 of them entered the cave. They could hear the quiet hum of the crystals and the scurrying of some small Etherians. Static narrowed her eyes and examined the floor, investigating every small hole. A loud hiss made the other 6 jump and turn to Static.

"What is it now.." Sketch grumbled as Static turned around. "Just some Jardix, go help me look for Eerie..." Sketch groaned and cantered deeper into the mines, the sound of her small paw-steps echoing in the cave.

The 5 left standing now split up, running in opposite directions. Blossom looked around, then jolted as she remembered something. She turned to a cluster of crystals at the entrance of the mine and reached out her hand to touch it. A zap coursed through her fingertips and into her body, paralyzing her for a brief moment. She sharply removed her hand from the surface as she sighed, and continued to look for Eerie.

Meanwhile Lullaby was flying around the area, as she passed by another small hole in the brown, stone walls she assumed belonged to another Jardix, a golden-colored glow caught her eye. She floated back to the spot and drifted downwards to find a small Eidlon. As she looked closer, she noticed that one of its eyes was closed shut, as what appeared to be a long scar was dashed across it.

"Everyone! I think I found something!" Lullaby exclaimed. The group sprinted back to her location shortly. "Look..." "EERIE?!" Static said in shock and surprise as her eyes widened. She bent down as her ears twitched, and a jolt of yellow lightning raced down the tips. "Who..who are you?" The Eidlon said with a shiver. "C'mon..don't you remember me? I'm Static..your friend. I just evolved, I promise it's me-" "Sorry..I don't know you." Static felt her stomach drop. "Really? You don't-.." "I think we should drop this whole Eerie thing, it's not like we can't progress without them. And besides, I don't think such a small Etherian, with an injured eye at that, could be of use." Synthesis interjected as the group went silent. Static hissed and her hackles began to rise. "What has gotten in to you?! We can't just give up on my friend!" "You can't give up, on the other hand, we can figure it out ourselves." Said Synthesis firmly as bolts of lightning started to streak across Static's pelt. "Synthesis, please, if it means so much to Static, can't we let her try to convince Eerie? Wouldn't you do that for someone you cared for?" Blossom explained calmly to Synthesis, putting herself between her and Static as she knew what could've happened. Synthesis groaned as she grazed her hoof against the stone floor, making dust fly. "Fine, but if you don't mind I'll be exploring that structure over there.." She pointed with a hoof as she galloped towards it, away from the group.

"Eerie...is that my name?" Asked the small Eidlon, making the group turn their heads to it. "I don't remember you, big cat..but the truth is...I don't remember anything." The small bug said as they folded their small, angular legs on each other as they looked down. "All I remember is..that there was this big, giant glowing orb. Me and my friend went closer to it, then..something pushed me. I fell and then...everything went black." Static's eyes widened in shock. "Maybe, joining us on our adventure will help you jog your memory? We have plans to go to a LOT of places. There could be a chance that one of them could bring back your memories!" Pollen said excitedly as her wings buzzed. "Also, sorry about Synthesis. Ever since the whole "moon beam" thing she's been.." She'd stop mid-sentence, as if trying to fit together words that could explain it clearly. "Anyway..what do you say, Eerie?"

The small Eidlon closed their eyes and thought deeply. The whole group went silent, anticipating their answer. "...Okay." The small Eidlon squeaked. "I'll join you."
