Part 5

"Hello. I was wondering if I can talk to lexi. I heard what happened and I wanted to take her out and you know..." he said as my parents and myself looked at him with a look that said 'you seriously did not just say that'.

You could tell he realized our looks.
"Oh no no no nothing like that. I just want to give her company" he said and my dad sighed.
"That's all you better mean young man because my daughter is still in high-school" my dad said. Not that Dave cared if you know what I mean.

I walked to the door and put on my shoes. Then I walked out he put his arm around my waist as we walked to his car. I knew this was going to be over the moment we got in his car.

I got in and then he started the car and drove off. To be honest his car was quite nice so was his house. The only reason I stayed with him was because he pays my family $1000 a month just to date me.

As we got out of my driveway he spoke.
"You can sit up now dumb (butts)" he said and two men rose up from the back seat. I was normally never scared of Dave. But when he brought other men his age with us I was scared.

I noticed he was driving us to his house. It was big enough for me to find a hiding spot --if I had to--.
"Okay lex. We are going to do this the easy way. I know you watch the news and you heard about Leah. You aren't going to tell anyone are you" he said.

It brought tears to my eyes when he mentioned Leah. I turned and realized the men were the ones who were with me at the beach with Leah.
"No I promise. I don't wanna get in trouble either" I said and he nodded and leaned over to me.
"That's my good girl" he said then kissed me.

He should have kept his eyes on the road but his lips were really irresistible. Then I looked at the rode to see Zombified Leah again. No No No. I yelled 'watch out' and Dave focused on the road.
"WHAT THE (QUACK) LEXI" He yelled and then she was gone. I sighed and whispered a apology.

We got to his house and I got out. I walked inside and sat on the couch. The two men came and sat down by me.
"You really are a cutie" one said then the door slammed.
"Get away from her" Dave yelled and they moved and he came and sat by me.

He put his arm around me and I looked at him. He winked and I layed on his chest. Then we sat there. Dave really knew how to make  me comfortable but I just didn't like the fact that I was forced into this. He really is a great guy. He has just made some bad decisions.

Then I realized it was 4:18 I had to be home by 4:30 so I got up and Dave understood this meant I had to go home. So he drove me back. We pulled up and I looked at him and he leaned in and kissed me.
"Lexi can I tell you something about that night" he said and I nodded. I didn't want to talk about it but maybe he knew something that could help.
"Umm it wasn't your fault" he said and I scoffed and leaned back.

I looked at him and he looked at me to.
"Listen I try to tell myself that but I pushed her in the water I did kill her" I said and he shook his head. Then he went to speak but I saw the time. 4:30 I had to go. I leaned in and kissed him again.
"Thank you for trying to make me feel better. But I have to get trough this by myself" I said then left and he drove off. I got inside and my parents were on the couch watching a movie.

They told me to go get comfortable and come and watch a movie with them. I agreed and then watch a movie. I kept thinking all night. What did Dave want to tell me.
