"What's that old woman's issue with me anyway? I swear her grumpy ass is out to get me. Miss Yizhou this, Yizhou that blah blah blah doesn't she have any other students? There's like forty people in the classroom for heaven's sake! I'm pretty sure I'm not the only student she knows. She praises Choi and Lee a lot! But when it comes to tasks and orders it's an automatic Yizhou! Nonsense! It's not like I've done anything against her." If someone would see the secretary walking along the stoned pathway towards the Science building while murmuring loudly to herself they'd assume that she would have gone nuts already. Because aside from the talking, she's also gesturing with her hands profusely as if she's about to hit somebody.
Well who could blame her? She's tired from all the final exams that she took earlier and add the fact that she still has dinner with her family later tonight. She isn't excited or anything about the dinner but it's become a mandatory thing in their family. She once tried to skip it and made up an excuse which her parents deemed as "unnecessary". A friend's birthday is unnecessary. Unnecessary meaning that her friend didn't come from the same social status as theirs. Well to her things like that doesn't really matter because she only has a few people she could call friends so being grounded for a week was worth it.
"Maybe she's jealous. Yeah that's it. She's jealous that she doesn't have a daughter like me. Yeah that's probably the reason that she ord— Owwwww! What the?!" The secretary's moment with herself comes to a halt when she suddenly crashes with another body leading to yet another outburst from the little student.
"Don't you have ey-"
"I'm really sorry. I wasn't looking t—"
"Aeri?" Yizhou asks when she recognized the girl bowing non-stop in front of her. After one last bend of her body, the president finally stops to look at the girl she bumped into.
"You okay?" The secretary continues when Aeri didn't answer her. The president looks crestfallen and still in daze as she stares back at Yizhou with searching eyes.
Yizhou taps her arm a little bit to get some reaction out of the Japanese and only then did she got something from the latter.
"Hey, yeah I was, uhm... I'm sorry again." Aeri stutters obviously still trying to find her bearing.
"It's okay I just overreacted since there's a lot on my mind." Yizhou answers a bit shyly remembering her frantic reaction earlier.
A few seconds later, silence reigned upon them causing the secretary to shift her foot from one to another. "So I'm going now." Yizhou says as she pointed to the building just a few meters behind them.
Aeri follows her line of sight before asking, "Science building?"
"Yeah Ms. Kang is being extra b—"
"Top floor?" Aeri asks again as she looks back at the highest floor of the building then back at Yizhou again.
"Uh yeah?" The secretary answers a bit unsure at the president's new found interest in her endeavor.
"The laboratories?" Aeri asks for the third time.
Yizhou was a bit hesitant to answer her since she's asking the right questions at the moment. But after shrugging her thoughts away, she spilled nonetheless.
"Yes. Ms. Kang apparently left her record book over there earlier so she asked me t—""I just got out of there and I didn't see no record book." Aeri cuts her off with a determined answer.
"Really?"
"Yeah a hundred percent sure." Aeri smiles at her.
"Thanks for saving me the trouble."
"No worries, Yizhou."
