Sensei Barnes

It had been a few weeks since Silver had announced his plans to expand cobra Kai , Silver had revealed his exact locations for the new dojos and had introduced the Sensei's who would be running them but he still hadn't introduced their new Sensei , All silver would tell them is that he was an old pupil and he would be arriving soon.

Robby and Tory had decided that they weren't going to confront Silver about anything until they had talked to Kreese who would hopefully return soon , robby also decided to keep it a secret from his dad incase he did something stupid.

Robby and Tory hadn't been hanging out with anyone else from the dojo because all they ever wanted to talk about was the tournament, this meant that Robby wasn't training Kenny anymore and because of this he was starting to see a change in Kenny's personality , he had started fighting more aggressively and he had been bragging about how he beat up Anthony Larusso at the all valley so Robby decided that after training he would try to work with Kenny and remember him how he taught him. However when training was over Silver told Robby and Tory he needed them to stay behind to help with promotional work for an upcoming cobra Kai commercial.

Before anything could begin Silver sent Robby and Tory home to get their trophy's. When they arrived back the dojo it was filled with photographers , Silver told them that before the commercial tomorrow he wanted them to have photos taken with the trophy's so he can have them put on billboards that will be all around LA so they can promote cobra Kai and show off their champions. Obviously both of them felt a little awkward as they still didn't know if they rightfully won but they did participate and they really couldn't believe there would be billboards all over LA with their faces on them. Once everything was done Silver excused himself while he took a phone call.

The next day when everyone arrived for the commercial they quickly changed into their Gi's , many of the students especially Kyler were excited by all of the cameras at the dojo. Before everything started Silver announced he had someone they needed to meet this was their new sensei and former cobra Kai star pupil Mike Barnes. After being introduced to the student Sensei Barnes gave a speech to them , he told them that for years he went all around the word learning different styles of mixed martial arts and now he would teach them what he learned , he also told them that he wouldn't be coming alone as his 17 year old daughter Sarah would be joining the dojo as well , finished the speech by telling them that under the tutelage of Sensei Silver and himself cobra kai become the most dominant and successful dojo and finally take over karate like they should have 34 years ago.

The commercial was a chance for cobra Kai to reach out to more people Silver felt it was important to show that cobra Kai welcomes everyone no matter race, gender or age. Many of the students showed off their abilities at breaking boards using weapons or one on one combat , however robby and Tory were the main focus as they were champions and Silver wanted everyone to know cobra Kai turned kids into champions.

Once everything was over Sensei Barnes asked to talk to Robby and Tory privately. Barnes told them that he had heard a lot about them and that he was looking forward to working with them in particular. Both Robby and Tory wondered if Barnes really knew what happened and if he was involved with Silver cheating. After having a long chat with cobra Kai's top two students Sensei Barnes warned Tory that with his daughter's arrival her spot as top female student was no longer guaranteed but Tory wasn't fazed by his comment and was ready for any competition coming her way.
