So, writing this chapter was THE single most exciting thing! You know how when some people get a concept for a story they say "it all started from this one scene I pictured..."? Well, that happened to me for this story and this is that scene! The bit of the chapter with our two little love birds is what originally sparked my idea to write about them.
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it :)

Immediately we do exile him hence:
I have an interest in your hate's proceeding,
My blood for your rude brawls doth lie a-bleeding;
But I'll amerce you with so strong a fine
That you shall all repent the loss of mine:
I will be deaf to pleading and excuses;
Nor tears nor prayers shall purchase out abuses:
Therefore use none: let Romeo hence in haste,
Else, when he's found, that hour is his last.
Bear hence this body and attend our will:
Mercy but murders, pardoning those that kill
Rolling over in my bed, I groaned and stretched; two things I had been doing a lot of lately, being practically bed ridden and all.
Getting up, I made my way downstairs disregarding my current appearance, and started concocting a breakfast for myself. I was in the middle of pouring milk when I heard heavy footsteps on the porch, followed by a loud THUD.
My brain seemed to be working at a speed that was four times slower than usual as I had just considered cowering in a corner when I heard the same footsteps stomp their way off my porch. I nervously bit my lip while opening the door the slightest bit to investigate.
I saw a large brown van and rolled my eyes at my own hysterics; it was only UPS. I waved cheerfully at the man climbing back into the van who I’d come to know thanks to Jack’s almost weekly deliveries of foreign protein supplements. Picking up the package and collecting the mail from the box, I treaded back inside, intent on tearing into my food.
When I slapped the load of mail on the table, a letter with hand written scrawl caught my attention. Eyeing it in comparison to the letters surrounding it convinced me that it wasn’t a business letter, and I couldn’t even remember the last time I received a letter from a relative.
Studying the front of the card got me nowhere either as there was no return address and it simply had “Tenley” written on the front in large scribble. I put the end of the letter in my mouth as I grabbed my bowl and headed up stairs to my room.
I took a few bites and chewed slowly while gently ripping open the letter, careful not to ruin any of its contents.
I nearly choked on my cereal as my eyes scanned the page and found it signed with Aiyden’s signature. Bringing my eyes back to the top of the page, I went through and read every sentence four or five times. Not that he had written all the much, I just wanted to be sure I didn’t miss anything.
Tenley,
I’m not going to bother telling you how sorry I am and how much I regret the way things ended last night because I believe you already know.
