The hot weather of summer was already here, everyone was already in the summer uniform, boys and girls. All the students were laying in the school park enjoying the sun on their skins, some sporty boys were still playing basketball or soccer even if they were melting. Cole was with June, his sister. They were sitting at a table waiting for their group to come before starting to eat.
"-Cooole ! I'm talking to you ! Geez... can't you just stop looking at peoples, that's why they think you're a freak.
- Ho hum, sorry... What were you saying ?
-I was saying that Mr. Pearson was wanting us to a little concert after the school orchestra during the summer festival.
-Isn't it, like, next week ?
From mister Pearson such a late request was unusual, he was always preparing those kind of stuff in advance. Also, if their music teacher asked June instead of him it meant that he asked it really late, so two hours ago, when June was having music.
-Yeah it's next Friday, I tried to find Leon and Ash to ask them but I didn't found them. So I just thought I'll wait everyone at lunch time.
June was playing with her lunch box, Cole knew she was hungry but that she wouldn't start eating before everyone was here. It was their rule. When he was about to answer a bottle flew across the table and hit him in the face, giggles and excuses came along with Ash and Leon following him.
-Ho my, Haha ! I'm so sorry mate, I wasn't meaning to touch you. Geez, Haha !
-Nice shot Ash !
June throw the bottle back at Ash as she complimented his shot and they all laughed as the two boys were settling down. As usual, Leon got out of his bag the biggest lunch box existing and put on the table some little snacks that they were sharing. They all started eating and asking about their morning but before Leon could start spreading the latest drama happening in his class, June stood up and got everyone's attention by banging her bottle against the table.
-Guys ! Okay, SO. I was having music this morning...
-We don't care 'bout that June.
Leon was always "mean", but it was just jokes, because he knew how easy June was to annoy and every time she was pissed Leon was finding it funny.
-Shut up Leon ! Anyway, Mr. Pearson asked if we could do a little concert after the school orchestra. Three or four songs, nothing much. What do you think ?
-Well I already agreed to go on a date with Jay'... But it's alright, I can sneak on stage real quick.
-Ha yes, the straight not so straight sporty boy. He would come and support you like the good boyfriend he is ? He's playing with you, Ash, that's it.
-Ho shut up Leon. Cole stood up and hit Leon's neck. I'm sure he's a nice guy."
Ash and Leon were always arguing about Jaley, or Jay, Ash's boyfriend. Leon had a strong opinion on the player of the football team and, guess what, Jayden was part of this club ! Everyone was agreeing on something it's that this Jayden was looking slightly "gay" but he also was the cliche of the straight gamer boy, the kind of boys bisexual girls always end up with. At the end everyone agreed with Mr.Pearson idea and the group finished it's lunch while joking and talking about anything until the bell would ring and everyone would have to go back in class. They all packed their stuff and steered to their class, but not Cole. The history teacher, Miss Wilson, was absent since a month so his class was having two hours of free time every Monday. The chestnut boy headed inside and walked through the corridors to the music classroom. After a little while he finally arrived, he walked to the door and knocked gently on it. He was pretty sure that Mr.Pearson was not having class right now and the silence in the room was confirming the absence of any students. The door opened and the tall teacher with his red glasses and grayish hair was standing in the frame of it.
