Katie's POV
Hey guys, I am soooooo sorry that we haven't updated in like AAGGEESSSS. I personally low key forgot we even made this account until the other day when it came up in conversation. But anyway I figured that a lot of you would love for us to pick up from where we left off but I'm pretty sure none of us can remember back that far
^-^.
The events in which we wrote about were how we met in 2014 and now as you know it is 2016 and we have a lot better stories to tell that are clearer in our memories. So now we are all roughly 15 and are a lot closer than ever before.
Here is a brief over view of what happened last year:
So in year seven we were all in the same homeroom which is the main reason we all became friends in the first place but as we moved into year eight we became separated into different classes. Hilary was put in a class with Jaz, Jamie got paired with Charlotte, I (Katie) got placed with Alicia and Eliza was put in a class all by herself. So what happened was because we were split up we had a few bumps to get over. A girl from Jaz and Hilarys grade began hanging out with our group. Let's call her Emily. Emily was the type of person who was always self-centred and miserable. She would always bring up how depressed she was and it would just bum all of us down.
Eliza who was in a grade by herself made some new friends who she could hang out with in her class so she wouldn't be such a loner. Eventually she moved on and began hanging out with them full time.
Anyway back to Emily. She became so much of a drag that Alicias parents didn't want her hanging out with her anymore therefore as long as Emily hung out with us, Alicia couldn't. Alicia eventually became friends with a really nice group of girls from our homeroom and I also became friends with them. Alicia now hung out with her new group in and out of class whilst I only hung out with them in class.
So now our friendship group consisted of Hilary, Charlotte, Jamie, Jaz and I. Yeah Emily was there too but we didn't really count her as a part of our squad. As mean as that sounds she was tearing our friendships apart. Alicia had left, Hillary was coming close to it, Charlotte was constantly miserable, and it was just a mess.
Eventually we had to take some action because otherwise we would just fall apart. We made an appointment with the school councillor to talk about it and to find an answer to these problems we were having. The councillor came to the conclusion that we should just tell her how we feel and attempt not hanging out with her. This did not work. Because majority of us are Hufflepuffs (Harry potter reference) we just wanted to be friends with everyone and we didn't want to hurt Emilys feelings so we just gave subtle hints.
We would say things like "Do you have any other friends" and other times we would just run away. *We sound like terrible people omg I am so sorry* But eventually she stopped hanging out with us and started hanging out with one of the groups that has just always disliked ours so I doubt she'll be coming back to us.
One of the worst memories I have of her is one lunch time. So I am pretty good at singing *not bragging* and Emily thought she was good at singing. So one lunch time she made me follow her into the music room so she could practice and I could give her advice. She is really tone deaf so she thought she was amazing where in reality it sounded terrible. Me being the person I am, I told her she was great and to keep practicing and eventually she'll get even better. This year she sung at school camp. She hasn't improved.
Another fun Emily story is another one that involves singing. Another lunch time she pulled me into the music room and asked me if I could help her write a song. So I have no talent in song writing what so ever. The best song I've ever written was when I was 10, it was about eating cupcakes. So I agreed. She had already written the words, she just wanted me to write ALL OF THE MUSIC PORTION OF IT. That night after school I wrote the entirety of the song, so like made up the melody and wrote guitar chords and stuff, and she loved it. She asked me to record myself singing and playing it so I obliged. What she ended up doing with the song was using it in an English assignment by making a music video for it. She had literally recorded herself singing over my recording. I still haven't seen the video but I hear it was pretty bad.
In the last term of school I guess our friendship group kind of became a band?!? So we eventually discovered that we could all sing so we decided to start volunteering to perform around school. I would play guitar or ukulele depending on what song we were doing, and Jaz would play the keyboard. So we did like a few gigs and yeah that was fun.
So back to the present day. SOOO now we are all friends again. Alicia and Eliza are now hanging out with us again and we haven't had any trouble with Emily and all is seemingly good :)
