Kalanis pov

Me, Charlie and Mrs.Conway got ice cream and we also went to the park where me and Charlie got to know each other a bit more, I sort of had to lie like about how I ended up in Minnesota but it was quite easy. All I had to say is that I came from a broken family and they just dropped me off here one day. Yeah that's bad but I mean what else was I supposed to say oh Im from the future. That would just make me look like a freak.

4 hours later

When we got to Mrs.Conways and Charlie's apartment we walked in and it felt very comforting and warm. "if you don't mind me asking where will i be staying" i say trying not to sound rude. "oh you can stay in Charlie's room." HUH?! "wait what?" i say in confusion. "it's okay i'll sleep on the couch." Charlies says with politeness. "Oh okay whatever you guys are comfortable with." Mrs.Conway says. I turn to Charlie to talk to him. "So are sure you want to sleep on the couch, I mean, I don't mind sleeping on the couch." I say with a smile.

"Oh no it's okay, I'll be fine just get some sleep." he says leaving to go get blankets. I sit on the bed just thinking of all of things that I was doing yesterday with my uncle and all the fun things we were doing and talking about. I just started to cry. I really should've listened to my uncle, he must be worried sick. Charlie came in and I looked up and wiped my tears, he came up to me and hugged me, he didn't question anything, or ask what was wrong he just hugged me. He pet my head and I just cried in his shoulder. when I was finally done I looked outside and it was pretty dark. Then Mrs.Conway walked in. "hey gu- omg Kalani are you okay??!" "yeah I'm fine just feeling a bit down but it's okay Charlie comforted me" Mrs.Conway looked at Charlie with a smile. "okay well that's good of Charlie, but come on dinners ready." we both walked out to smell a very savory great smelling food. She had made pesto pasta, best thing on the earth btw. That definitely made me feel a lot better besides Charlie.

We ate in a matter of seconds. "Okay kiddos I am going to clean the dishes then hit the sheets, Kalani there is a extra toothbrush in the bathroom drawer you can use." she said walking up to us and kissing Charlie on the forehead and hugging me. Charlie went to brush his teeth, me following behind him. We both brushed our teeth and I had changed into the pjs I had brought in my bag.

I had gotten in my bed and Charlie was about to walk out. "hey Charlie can you stay with me tonight." I said still a bit sad. "uhhh sure I guess." he said with a confused look on his face. He made a pretty comfortable place on the floor, saying he didn't mind sleeping on the floor after I offered him to sleep in the bed. (not in a weird way people :/ )

In the morning

I wanted to be the first person awake because I needed to see if the time machine was still there so I could get back. I changed as fast as I could, grabbed my bag with everything in it and booked out out the door as quietly as I could. I went to the park I had found it at and I couldn't find it. omfg where the hell is it.. I looked everywhere then I found it, but it was destroyed. "SHIT!" what the hell was I supposed to do.

This one is short but I will be doing a chapter in a bit.
