--Zeke's POV--

The last week has been hell. Nola hasn't called or texted me. I've probably tried to call her at least a hundred times and have tried to text her just as much. Taylor says she hasn't heard from Nola, but I knows he's seen Ariana and Emmett. She has to know what's going on with her.

"Hey freak. Knock anyone else up this weekend?" Jackson asks as he leans on my bedroom doorframe.

"Fuck off Jackson," I tell him.

My first mistake.

"Excuse me?" Jackson asks as he steps into my room. I stand up from my bed and face him.

My second mistake.

Jackson grabs me and tosses me into the hallway. I quickly stand back up. He meets me with a punch to my face. I quickly retaliate and shove him into the wall. Next thing I know I'm falling down the stairs.

I wince in pain as I hit the floor at the bottom of the stairs. My head is pounding. I'm pretty sure I broke a few things.

Jackson laughs as he no stands over me. He taps my cheek before exiting the house. I roll over to my back and quickly regret it. My right leg throbs in pain.

"Fuck," I cry.

No one's home. I don't even know why Jackson was here. In need of help I pull out my phone from my pocket. I quickly dial the first name I see on my phone.

"Hello?" Ezra answers.

I then start to cry.

"Zeke's? What's wrong?" Ezra asks worriedly.

"Please help me," I cry desperately into the phone.

"Where are you Zeke?"

"Home. Jackson pushed me down the stairs. Please help me..."

"I'm on my way. Don't move Zeke," he says before hanging up.

I drop my phone and cover my face with my hands as I cry and cry. Ezra doesn't knock before entering the house. As soon as he sees me he runs over to me.

"Fortune call for help," I hear Ezra say to Fortune. I didn't even see him come in.

Everything else becomes a blur. The pain starts to become to much and I pass out. I awaken in a hospital room. I hear the beeping of a machine to my left.

When I look over I see a face that I've been dying to see. Nola. My love.

Her eyes are beat red as she stares back at me worriedly. I go to speak, but she places her hand over my mouth. She then removes it and places a quick-soft kiss onto my lips.

"I'm sorry Zeke," she starts. "I should've...I didn't mean to...I love you Zeke. I'm sorry," she cries.

I hold her close as she buries her head into my chest and cries.

"It's okay. I love you Nola," I tell her truthfully.

"I want to have this baby. With you Zeke. I want to raise him or her together."

I give her a smile.

"I want nothing more than t-"

"Zeke?" I hear an unfamiliar voice ask.

My vision blurs and Nola soon fades. When my vision clears, there's a man in scrubs standing over me shining a flashlight in my eyes. I squint and tell him to stop.

"Nola?" I ask.

"Zeke, you just got out of surgery," the doctor tells me.

"What? No!" I shout. "Nola?! Where's Nola?!"

The doctor shakes his head.

"No ones here except your parents and the men that came in when you did," he tells me. "I'll send them in."

I nod as tears start to fall down my face. It was a dream. Nola was a dream. She doesn't love me. She'd be here. Nola hates me. She hates me for what I did to her.

If it wasn't for me she wouldn't be pregnant. She doesn't deserve this. She doesn't want it. I'm selfish for wanting it. I just thought that she loved me.

I am and forever will just be a freak. A sad, selfish, pathetic, lonely freak. I hate myself. I wish Jackson would've just killed me. I deserve to die.

"Zeke! Honey," my mother says as she rushes into the room.

My father, Ezra, and Fortune follow. I cry harder as my mother hugs me tightly.

"I want to die mommy. Please. Just please," I cry.

--Ezra's POV--

Fuck.

As I hear those words of hurt from Zeke's mouth I look over at Fortune worriedly. He needs Nola. Nola needs him.

She's just frightened. Scared. She's young.

I pull Fortune to the hallway and pull out my phone.

"Daddy?" Nola asks.

"Nola love," I start. "Zeke's in the hospital. He needs you."

Fortune pulls me into him.

"What happened?!" Nola asks.

I sigh, "Jackson hurt him. He just got out of surgery. I should've called you sooner, but he needs you Nola. Please come."

"Okay," she says softly into the phone before hanging up.

"He'll be okay. They'll be okay," Fortune says as he kisses the top of my head. I pull him closer to me and hold him tightly.

If it wasn't for Fortune, I'd be dead. Fortune's my everything. Nola is Zeke's everything. I know how he feels.

I'm just hoping that Nola makes the right choice...
