I entered the living room, there she was. My favorite person in the whole world.

"Grandma." I held out a handful of colorful pills.

"Thank you, sweet cheeks." She reached over and took a pill one at a time drinking them down like a pro.

"You're getting good at this grandma." I smiled taking a hold of her hand planting a kiss on her fingertips.

"You don't have to do this. You're going to start getting really busy I can do it myself." I shook my head.

"No, I have to. The nurse said this is your last subscription of the month. I can't afford for you to drop the pills again." I watched as Nana's head lowered in sadness.

I smiled squeezing her hand lightly "Plus, I'll always have time for you." Nana smiled and I got to my feet.

"But right now, I've gotta get to school." I gave Nana a hug and headed towards the door bag in hand. "Text me if you need anything. Bye love you Grandma!"

I headed out the door with those last words.

                                                                                              ....

"Wait in that seat we'll have your classmate escort you to your class in a few minutes."

"Okay." I nervously sat down in a seat in the corner of the office. I watched as the girl in a polka dotted buttoned up shirt tucked into a tight long blue skirt that reached down to her knees. She had on the brightest red lipstick I had seen in a while.

The door of the office creaked open after a couple of minutes waiting in the busy office. "Jocelyn! It's about time. Shes right over there."

The girl; Joselyn, turned around and gave a bright smile to which I returned. She was beautiful. She had long shiny brown hair, small pretty blue eyes and pearly whites that lit up her whole smile.

"Hi! I'm Jocelyn." I stood up and returned the greeting. "Isa." we shook hands and before I knew it we were down the hall on the way to our class.

"Don't worry, I'm sure you will love it. This is a pretty small town, so everybody knows everyone. We actually only have one school in this whole area. I mean, besides high school we only have one school."

I nodded. "Wait, so I'm going to be the only knew girl?"

She nodded.

"There were no new kids?"

"Nope. No one really moves here these days, so it's just you."

"We're here." I took a deep breath preparing myself for all the stares. When suddenly I felt a hand plant on my shoulder.

"You'll be fine. Trust me." Her smile was so warm, and friendly feeling. I smiled and we walked in.

Suddenly the eyes of the class all slowly turned their attention to me. Looking me up and down making us sumptuous about me by the way I dressed and stood.

"Everyone this is our new student! She just moved here." Jocelyn announced smiling.

So she must be a student council member. I guessed at the way everyone new her and she addressed the situation.

It was silent in the room and everyone was starting at me to which I got on cue. "I'm Isa."

"We'll Isa I'm Mr. Harrington, you can take a seat over there ."

He pointed to a desk in the corner of the room. I nodded making my way down the isle I heard the whispers of the kids already giving their opinions on me. I rolled my eyes, classic.

"Alright class, pull out your biology books quickly. We will have a fast short lesson today." Mr. Harrington demanded gaining the students attention from the new mystery kid, me.

First period was quite easy. Not like anything I hadn't heard of before. I had talked to a few people in that class already, I think they fairly like me.

I walked into my second class, math my worst subject. Again, the eyes landed on me but at this point it had been alright.

Didn't bother me as much as the first class. I stood in the front introducing myself before making my way to the seat Mr. Anderson assigned me too when suddenly someone caught my eye as I reached my seat. Behind me was the person I had hoped not to see, Benny.

I pretended not to see him and sat down placing my backpack by the side of my chair.

The class was going pretty smoothly and the class would end in 5 minutes when suddenly I was called to the front of the class to answer an equation.

I took a gulp before standing up. If I was being honest fractions was my weakest part in math and I was so "lucky" to be able to give my first impression in front of the class my first day.

I gulped before taking a step when I suddenly yelped. I fell landing on my stomach face hidden in my arms.

Shit...
Shit..
Shit!

My face turned red when I realized the situation I put myself in. The class began giggling and I slowly got up.

"Ms. Garcia? You alright there?" I nodded walking up to the board to answer the equation.

I completely messed up. Both the equation and walking. Either way there was no way to recovering from that.

"Um thank you ms. Garcia. Sadly you are incorrect Myla wanna come give it a shot?"

I sped walked back to my seat in embarrassment. When I reached my seat I looked up to see Benny giving a satisfied smirk.

I quickly sat down placing my head in my arms on the desk. What a first impression, I scoffed.
