Chapter Fifteen

Shenzi walked back to the Elephant Graveyard. She saw the whole clan of hyenas waiting for her patiently. "I'm sorry but the lions said no", said Shenzi. Banzai was disappointed but comforted his sister. "I never understood why our mother was good with lions", said Banzai. Shenzi saw Ed by himself. She walked to him and hugged him. "Do you got prey?" Asked Ed.

"I'm sorry, Ed but no I didn't get prey", said Shenzi. Shenzi later thought of Taka and she had an idea. "What if we can get Taka to get prey for us", said Shenzi. "And how are we going to do that?" Asked Banzai. Shenzi looked at the ground and looked up at Banzai. "We'll set a trap up for him. We'll make him want to do something nice for us", said Shenzi. Shenzi stood on the high rocks and called her clan members. "I have a plan to find more prey. Let's start a stampede", said Shenzi. Banzai was confused.

"Why though?" Asked Banzai. "Because it will get his attention", said Shenzi. Meanwhile at the PrideLands, Taka ran back to his den and saw his father. His father ran to him in tears. He embraced him. "I'm so sorry for what happened", muttered Ahadi.

Mufasa was happy to see his brother back so he joined in. "I'm sorry, dad", said Taka. "Don't be. It was my fault for neglecting you. It was very hard when your mother died", said Ahadi. Taka nodded. Muuguzi went into their den and smiled. "Ahadi, I'm glad you reconciled with your son. I was so worried about him", said Muuguzi. Ahadi smiled at Muuguzi. Muuguzi started to form tears in her eyes and started smiling at him. Taka was wondering why Muuguzi was emotional towards Ahadi.

As soon as Taka tried to ask, she walked away in tears. "Is she okay?" Asked Taka. Ahadi shrugged. Ahadi and Mufasa went to their training and left Taka by himself. Taka didn't mind being by himself. He felt someone hugging him. He turned around and saw his mother's spirit smiling at him. "I missed you mom. Where have you been?" Asked Taka. "I've been busy. I'm very sorry, son", answered Uru. Taka backed away from Uru. "Busy with what?" Asked Taka.

"Taka, I have other things going on. You have to understand that", said Uru. Taka shook his head. "You were angry at me. Just say that", said Taka. "Why would I be angry at you? You're my son. I used to make the same mistake you did. I hung around with Choyo like you did with Azola because my father went to find a new water source. My mother didn't really take care for me as she was too busy and it made me go to Choyo. Luckily, I found out his true colors before it was too late", said Uru.

"Please. Azola is manipulating you like her father tried with me. You have to trust me", said Uru. "No. Leave me alone", said Taka. He walked away and Uru started crying. Taka didn't realize what he had done until she disappeared. He walked to the main den seeing Azola and Baraka in a fight.

"Leave our daughter alone, you psycho!" Yelled Baraka. "Why can't I have another cub? My own cub died", said Azola. Baraka roared. Azola attacked Baraka. He was knocked down and didn't wake up. Nina watched as her mate was unconscious. She sobbed as she saw his wound too severe. He gasped for air but eventually succumbed to his wounds. Taka's jaw dropped when he witnessed Sarafina's father's own death.

Azola put her paw on Taka's shoulder. Taka looked at Azola frightened of her. "He deserved it", said Azola. Muuguzi ran straight to Baraka's body. She sobbed and announced his death to Ahadi. Ahadi was furious to hear that Azola was the reason why his brother was dead. Taka was worried about what would happen to Azola as she was his only mother right now.
