Henzel was about to burst into tears.
He, avoiding everyone's gaze, went up to his room, locked the door, and sat on the bed expressionless. After a while he found himself crying soundlessly.
"Why didn't you guys include him?" Elizabeth asked the others.
"We didn't notice his absence," Lorenzo said looking down.
All the others were sad. They felt bad that they forgot about Henzel. They tried to talk him out of it but he refused.
It was almost afternoon, and still, Henzel didn't come out of his room. Unaware of what happened, Leandro and Ruth, who had left, returned home.
To alleviate Henzel's grief, everyone decided to go out together as mentioned earlier.
"Henzel, get ready, we are going out!" Elizabeth said knocking on his door. There was no response from Henzel's side.
After everyone was ready to go, Jackson came and knocked on Henzel's door again. "Henzel opened the door, right now."
After minutes' silence, he opened the door for Jackson
"Get ready, we are going out," Jackson said.
"No, I am not coming," Henzel said looking down.
"Why?" Jackson asked.
"My exams are starting and I am heading to Abel." Saying this Henzel walked downstairs washed his face and walked out of the house with a bag on his shoulder.
"He seems weird?" Ruth asked.
"No, it's just he is concentrating on his studies. Come on we'll go." Joanna said.
When they returned that night, they found Henzel nowhere.
Nervously, Elizabeth called Abel and asked if Henzel was at his house and he said it had been a while since he had left.
"Abel said that it had been a while since Henzel left his house," Elizabeth told Jackson.
"We'll wait. Maybe he'll be here within minutes." Jackson said.
After minutes, Henzel was back. He just walked into his room.
"Why is he acting strange?" Ruth asked.
"Nothing, it's just he's angry with me because I scolded him for failing in his exam," Jackson said.
The next day, Leandro and Ruth were leaving for Leandro's house in California.
Before leaving Ruth wanted to see Henzel, but unfortunately, he hadn't opened the door.
"Henzel," She called leaning towards his door.
He didn't reply.
"Henzel it's me, Ruth. I am leaving for California. I just wanna see you before leaving," Saying this she stayed silent hoping that he will open the door. But he didn't. "Fine, I'll just go," Saying this she was about to walk away when she heard the sound of a door opening.
It was Henzel.
"Don't miss the flight, go! Happy Journey," Henzel went back inside his room and locked it,
Ruth walked away.
And so, they both headed to California.
