Joanna's POV

I was walking down the street, when someone called me from behind, "Jo, hold on,".

I turned and saw Harvey. "Hi," I smiled at him.

I and Harvey are studying at the same college. He is my senior. We are in nice company; more like, he is a best friend of mine.

"Where were you? Haven't seen you for days."

"I was at my hometown, Beverly for my sister's wedding. It was midnight when I arrived."

"So, now you're heading to?", he asked me.

"Just walking. You wanna accompany me?", I asked him.

Then he accompanied me. We talked about random kinds of stuff walking down the street.

"Tomorrow, will you be there in the college.?", I asked him.

"Yeah! Since our holidays are over today, I'll be there tomorrow.", he said.

Suddenly, a guy popped out from nowhere and blocked my way.

He is a flirt, named Gerard. But not at all like a flirt, he is a distraction to me. And I really hate him at all for that.

"Hey Jo," Gerard called me.

"Joanna.", I corrected him.

"Okay, Jo... I wanna tell you something.", He was sweating.

"What is it?", I asked.

"Hey Jo, What's the matter?", Harvey asked me.

"Nothing Harvey. It's is just a pest.", I told him.

"Jo, even if I am a pest, I know that for you I'm not like that. By the way, I have something to tell you, But I don't know how to say it,", Gerard was taking too much time.

"You sit here and think, by the time, I'll fly.", I walked away with Harvey.

"Hey, Jo wait.", Gerard called me from the back.

We both stopped.

"What's the matter?", I asked him.

"You can leave. I have something to tell Joanna privately.", Gerard told Harvey.

"No. He is not going anywhere. If you want to tell anything, you tell and leave as fast as possible.", I told him.

"But I don't like him interfering in our personal stuff Jo, so please ask him to LEAVE AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.", Gerard smiled at me.

He was getting on my nerve.

"Better you stay away from me and my friend, Gerard, because I don't like to see someone crying.", I warned him.

Still, he smiled at me without any further expressions, which made me angrier at him.

"Come on Jo, let's leave.", Harvey told me.

As I was about to walk away with Harvey, Gerard came and block me once more, "Wait, wait!".

"What?" I was really angry.

"Jo, please, just a minute," He pleaded.

"Fine", I said walking away from Harvey with Gerard.

"Jo, I love you in a way I've never felt before with any woman. I feel special around you. When I am with you, I am who I am."

"Excuse me, I've only seen you just twice or thrice."

"Okay, but I want a romantic life that everyone wants. Will you step into my life to make it romantic?". He was being kinda poetic.

"Sorry, I am an unromantic creature. Better you search for someone lovesick." I left with Harvey.

As we were walking, Gerard came behind us and shouted, "Jo! With me, if you be, with life I shall be,"

"If you leave her, with life YOU shall be," Harvey said.

Then we ignored him and walked away. After walking for a while we went back to the hostel. I had to finish some homework because our college was reopening the next day.
