"Hey girly! It's been ages since I saw you!"
Fuck fuck fuck. I internally groaned and faked a smile as my eye twitched in anger.
"Hi! Yes it has been a while, Lila. What are you doing here?"
"I have family here, class B4. He asked if I could support him and vote for him, I was surprised to see you here. How is life for you now?"
"Good, way better than it used to be anyway. Life's so much better here than in the city. I've got many friends and I'm doing well in school, very calm."
"Yeah, I can see that you're happy. Anyway, the one you presented with? He's hot like super hot, I'd love to just.. wait, he's your boyfriend right? Or not? Not to insult or anything."
Who talks about someone's boyfriend like that? She's disgusting. But I laughed a stupid fake laugh.
"Yes, he's my boyfriend. He's over there talking to my parents."
He actually was, this helped my story a lot. They got along well and my parents enjoyed talking to him. His mom had gotten quite close to my parents because of this. We had even decided to go to a fancy restaurant, about 45 minutes away from us, all together today to celebrate our presentation!
"Shall I introduce him to you? Minho! Minho would you come over here for a second?"
He looked at me, said bye to my parents and jogged towards me with a stupid dreamy smile on his face. People in love look so stupid. You'd think he wasn't faking it because he looked so stupid, staring at me. I look stupid.
"This is Minho."
"Well hello, I'm Lila. I'm her former classmate, nice to meet you."
"I know. I'm her boyfriend, nice to meet you too."
"So how is the relationship between you? What happened? I'm curious how Sora got you, you know, she's Sora after all."
Such a vile thing to say. Such a backhanded compliment. Where does her hatred for me come from?
"It was love at first sight for me, Lila. Truly the love of my life, so I tried to get close to her before I confessed. She rejected me at first though. A little embarrassing, but I got her in the end."
"Love at first sight you say?"
"Yep! The bus stop, I'll never forget how pretty she looked. All sleepy, super ready for her first day."
"Seems like you really got quite the catch with him Sora. Get a good grip on him before he escapes, I say! Fish are slippery."
"If Minho was a fish, he would have willingly jumped out of the water into my lap and died to be with me. Now stop comparing my boyfriend to fish. I think someone's calling your name. You should go."
Okay, maybe that was a little dramatic, but it's okay. That guy from B4 saved me though.
"Wow, Sora. You must hate that girl if you embarrassed her like that."
I looked back up at his face and laughed.
"I do. She's the reason I have stagefright. I'm not going into detail, I'm just saying the presentation would have gone better if she hadn't been there. And hey, you embarrassed her too. Love at first sight, me rejecting you, my ass."
I wouldn't reject you.
"She was literally insulting you, I think that was the least I could do."
"And you should've heard the stuff she said about you. I'm kind of glad you said that."
