Anais' POV

So I walked away from Liam and headed towards my locker. Once I reached it, I opened it and grabbed my English and Science textbook. I stopped dead when the memory of me and Ansel talking the other night flashed through my mind.

I was in my room, laying on my belly with my laptop in front of me when I heard a knock on my door. It's weird for someone to be knocking because I just left it open and not completely close. But we Argent's have manners, well, except for my twin, Ansel.

At first, I thought it was dad but then remembered that he's in France right now recovering and maybe visiting our relatives. We went to France after Allison's death. But after staying there for a while, we went back here to Beacon Hills and dad came back to France again and left us here though he wouldn't tell us the reason why. Yeah I know it's almost a week since he left me and Ansel in the hands of the true alpha, Scott. There's like a security camera in the living room, garage, kitchen and dining. Thank Goodness there isn't one in our rooms. Or maybe... Ah great! Now I'm slightly paranoid. Plus, Scott and Derek would visit us each night to make sure that everything's fine. We think of it as a training ... and food? Pshh don't worry everytime I open the fridge, I could literally sing 'Love is an open door'. Good to supply us for a few more weeks. But what worries me is the big pile of dishes in the sink and Ansel's laundry problems.

And it's impossible for it to be Allison because well— she's dead. I looked from my screen to my door and was surprised, my jaw even slightly fell open. It was the least I expected it would be, Ansel. I was going to yell 'What the hell do you want now?' and probably shove him off but I looked through his eyes and saw a little bit of sadness. I felt worried, even though I have a love/hate relationship with him, he is still my brother, hell he's my twin brother. Of course I will always be worried about him.

I sat up straight, "Ansel, what's wrong?" I asked him.

He pointed to my bed, "Can I'-?"

"Course you can! You can always come in..." I said and moved my laptop aside. I gestured for him to sit beside me.

He walked towards me and chuckled, "Last time you said, I can never come in your room or else you'll stab me with one of your Chinese ring daggers" he said and sat beside me.

I bit my bottom lip and giggled, "Well you look like you need somebody to talk to, so uhh, you're always welcome when you need to talk to me

He smiled then it faded quickly. I can tell something's bothering him. Big time. I reached out his hand and then looked at me. "Hey, remember the twin promise we made?" he nodded "-that we can tell each other anything and everything and that we shouldn't keep secrets from each other"

"Yeah" I said, "So what's bothering you?"

Ansel looked at me deep in my eyes before speaking, "You"

I gave him a puzzled look before I took my hand away from his and said, "What?"

He stood up quickly and rubbed his temples, "It's just that... Ahhh!" he cried out and spun around then took a seat at my bed again.

"Look, Anais. You do know that I love you right? No matter how much I tease you, annoy you, piss you off, say that I hate you, and how much I wish that..." he then stopped "I'dRatherHaveATwinBrotherLikeEthanAndAidenInsteadOf HavingYouAsMyTwinSister" he said so fast that it took me five seconds to register it.

"Whaat?!" I asked

"Nevermind that... but you see-"

"Get to the point" I cut him off and rolled my eyes
