Liam's POV

I am now heading to the Lacrosse field with Garrett and Ansel. We decided to have an early morning practice before the try outs later this afternoon. I walked in silence with Ansel beside me and Garrett a few feet ahead of us.

Ansel was trying to find something in his backpack. "Shoot!" he cursed and groaned. "I left my history report at the top of my printer"

I chuckled and his situation, "Good luck" I teased. We all know that that report was due today and our teacher said no extension.

He brought out his phone from his pocket, "I'll just text Anais. I think she's still at home and maybe asked her to bring it for me"

Anais. I just remembered, she didn't come with us for our early morning practice probably because it's way too early in the morning. That's why I must've felt that something's missing with the atmosphere around me. She's missing. Ansel returned his phone to his pocket and zipped up his open back pack.

"Hey Ansel?"

"Yeah?"

"How's Anais?" I asked and he furrowed his eyebrows at me.

"Why you suddenly asking about her?" he asked

I shruggef, "I don't know. I guess I'm just worried about her lately-"

"If it's about the painting, don't worry.. I told you she's over it and completely restored it." he cut me off "And if I must say, she told me that-" he trailed off but completely stopped in mid sentence and looked like he's rather guilty and regretted ever saying that.

"What?" I asked sharply. Is it about me? What did she say about me.

"Nothing. Just nothing" he snapped. I open my mouth to convince him to blurt it out but Ansel cut me off before I could say any word. "Don't even think about it dude"

I sighed knowing that I wouldn't win against him. "Are you sure Anais will bring you your report?"

"Course she will" he said surely "Why wouldn't she?"

"Well, yesterday she just stormed off because of you-" I said but Ansel chuckled.

"And do you really think we still haven't make up yet?" he asked then chuckled again "Perks of being an only kid, huh? Well buddy let me tell you a little something about siblings. We fight all the time. We fight then make up, then we fight again then okay again. It's like the nature of having a sibling" he explained "And sometimes, even not just for twins, you can really read their minds. I don't mean like telepathy or something. You just know.. you'll know when they're worried, or scared, or happy or if something's bothering them. You can read it with just looking at their eyes or reading their expressions."

"I sure do wish I was like you, I can't understand your sister sometimes" I confessed.

"She's a girl" he retorted "Nobody understands girls" and we both laughed. "And, it doesn't have to be your sibling or family or anything blood related to understand someone. You will if you're close with that person or you feel something for that person"

"Huh" was all that came out of my mouth. I don't understand Ansel sometimes, one minute he's all joke and fun then next he's all serious. I'll never understand this guy. And I bet Anais doesn't either. Well, one thing Ansel and Anais have in common... when in serious mode, prepare for words of wisdom.

"Hey girlies!" Garrett called out. Ansel and I quickly turned put heads to him and saw that he's already in the middle of the field holding a lacrosse stick. "Done talking? Get playin'!"

Anais' POV

I just got to school and on my way to the Lacrosse field to give Ansel his History report. To be honest, I wasn't even going to bring it to school and just lie that when he sent me the text I already left the house. But then guilt crept over my mind just thinking about it. The report was due today and our teacher said that there wouldn't be any extension. He can't fail, it's just the start of a new semester and he's going to fail? Plus, I don't want to give Dad another headache. Ugh, Ansel is such a slacker... and a complete mess.
